Indo-Chinese cuisine

Asian- Indian cuisine fusion. People who like Indian food and Indian-Chinese will like it here. All vegetarian. Several dishes fried in oil, so it’s nice there is no meat in the friers.

Go-to Place!

I've been here countless times because the experience is always consistent. The servers are kind and knowledgeable about what is vegan on the menu, or can be made vegan.

Always remember to specify that you want the vegan options. There may be a v next to it on the menu, but most times it means that it can be made vegan and you just need to ask. Never had any food mix-ups while eating here!

Pros: Best Indian food I've had!

Cons: Vegan proteins are limited outside of dal tadka

Dairy After Specifying Vegan

I went was before they had vegan indicators on the menu. My friend and I clearly said we are vegan and asked for options. The waiter called additional staff and they collectively had a hard time explaining the dishes in English. I chose one that sounded safest, but will admit I don’t know Indian food well. The food tasted good, however definitely seemed like it had dairy. Sure enough, now it is not listed as having a vegan option.

It’s OK—dairy scare, specify vegan!

I got the gujarati thali which is labeled vegan on the menu, so I didn’t specify I was vegan. Two things in it certainly contained dairy, I tried them and they had that prototypical dairy taste. I didn’t eat them. Confirmed with the restaurant that they did contain dairy when I went back a second time. The other things in the thali were quite good.

The menu doesn’t actually have a *whole* lot of labeled vegan options. Not like Ruchi, another Indian vegetarian restaurant which used to be around the corner.

I’ve also had the chana puri which was just okay, schezwan noodles which were pretty good but not amazing, and dal double tadka which unfortunately lacked much flavor.

It’s difficult to tell what can be made vegan.

Wonderful authentic India Cuisine

Me and my family are vegetarian since we were born. It was very hard to find good vegan or vegetarian place in phoenix but then we discovered Honest and we have been regularly coming here and didn’t get disappointed single time

Pros: Katappa Sandwich , Hakka noodles , Chilly Paneer

Cons: Long wait time

Zero stars! Gross food!

The food was gross. I love Indian cuisine but this was not what I am used to. We ordered the dosa masala. The dosa was super crispy like a cracker. We also ordered gobi Manchurian. It tasted like it had artificial flavor and came as a soup. Even the rice did not taste good. The texture was soggy and there was a hair in it. The samosa did not look or taste a like a normal samosa. My son would not eat it. The masala soda was the grossest thing I have ever tasted. It was not sweet at all and the spice mixture was disgusting. I have never had bad Indian food before, this was a very sad experience.
