Perfection

By far one of my favourite restaurants in London.
The food is a perfect blend of comfort and experimentation. I especially enjoyed the XO rice, king oyster mushrooms and the vanilla soft serve was to die for!!
Beautiful atmosphere, lovely staff. Definitely pay a visit!!!!

Lovely presentation

Mother’s Day treat! I loved the look and taste of all dishes (although the sourdough was a bit too burned in places & hence bitter). The service was a bit slow considering it was not very busy.

Pros: Dishes presentation was amazing, Very tasty

Cons: Decor shabby, walls need a lick of paint!

Amazing starters

We visited here in september 2025. The menu was full of interesting dishes and it was difficult to choose what to order! We enjoyed especially the starters, including house made pickles like smoked sauerkraut, tzatziki and focaccia. It was fun to share multiple small dishes! The acoustics weren't the best, and with a big birthday party on the next table it was quite noisy and hard to have a conversation. Would still come back again!

So pleasantly surprised!

I’m bit of a vegan junky, so when I looked at the menu of this place when my gf suggested it, I wasn’t so sure.
However, wow! Their menu seems insane for anyone non vegan to read. & even I was struggling to imagine how some of these dishes would come out, but they were all awesome. So tasty and flavoursome too which you might not necessarily expect from looking at the ingredients of each dish. This restaurant performs pure wizardry with its veg let me tell you! A welcome pleasant surprise from my normal vegan junk lol

Pros: The creativity of this place will blow your mind, A truly unique vegan dining experience , Food was all so incredibly tasty

Cons: Obviously higher end cost wise, but worth it, Slightly awkward to get to for me

Impeccable

Cons: Un peu cher

Flavours!

Wonderful flavours in everything we tried: shakshuka, sweet-potato/corn, butterbean hummus, chilli ragu, focaccia and other bread. We also had two-for-one (lunchtime) mimosa mocktails. Creative dishes. I do think they should include bread or crackers with the dips; we shouldn’t have to order bread separately, since it’s a required element of bread-and-dips. Fabulous-sounding desserts, but we’ll have to visit another time for just dessert.

Pros: all vegan

Tasty Food; service lacks class

We had a welcoming entrance, generally a nice dinner, but the service staff woukdbt leave us alone about choosing our main dishes after ordering some dips and drinks
And then blow me they immediately brought all that out, on top of our dips
They also brought coffee out twenty minutes before our desserts
Just got the feeling they wanted to shove us through, and like many vegan eateries they just lack a bit of class in that area: don’t understand dining eitquett

Pros: Very tasty food, Friendly staff, Black Walnut Gimlet

Cons: Food comes out in too of one another, Weren’t served any food with ‘resistance’

Wow

It's pricey, yes, but we were blown away by the unusual and fantastically tasty dishes.

The service was relaxed but excellent.

Unique dishes

Stylish venue, super interesting menu. Features a range of fermentation-inspired dishes. The range is really interesting - delicious savoury flavours to the extent of nothing like I’ve ever tried before. Both leek and beetroot dishes cooked on coal are wonderful, and mushroom ragu. Also the oyster mushrooms with tostadas and the cassoulet, that went especially well with the sweet potato side with corn miso butter.

I loved the chocolate tahini cremeux - super creamy with accents of salt.

The food was good, but not as expected. The service was friendly but not professional.

The visit started with the disappointment that the lunch special mentioned on the menu for $25, which we were particularly interested in, was not available. We then ordered a la carte. Since only one of the 4 main dishes did not contain coriander and cumin, we chose that one. It was deep-fried oyster mushrooms. They were good. But from the reviews and photos, I had expected "fine dining" and unfortunately, it did not meet that expectation. The sweet potato as a side dish was also not what we had anticipated (but good). The Caesar salad, on the other hand, was nicely presented. We wanted an extra plate so we didn't have to eat from a metal bowl. So we just took one from the neighboring table, as none was brought to us fresh after we had used the previously available plate for the salad. We got the impression that they wanted to get rid of us quickly (it was a Friday at 12:00 when we arrived). My companion had not finished eating when my plate was already cleared away. They also took the water that we had paid for, even though there was still a quarter left in the bottle. I had to ask to get my water glass back, which was also not empty.

Pros: location, food, excellent cider (rosé)

Cons: service

WOW! 🤩

Out of this world plant forward food! Everything was exquisite. We all loved the artichoke burger and the mushroom wings. Some loved the crispy leeks and shakshakou best. Not cheap but we went to celebrate a special occasion and ordered too much actually. They ha w a great value lunch menu for £25 which saves you 40% off the normal price and includes a few courses and a drink. I’d like to go back for that and the burger and wings.

Such a delightful meal!

The food here is divine. I love seeing vegetables as the star of the show. It’s definitely on the pricier side but worth it for a special occasion or even ‘just because’.

Pros: Delicious food, Great atmosphere, Friendly staff

Great flavour combos

So many unique dishes here with great flavour combinations I’ve never tried before! The oyster mushrooms and rice pud were my favourites.

I didn’t love everything I tried but that’s just personal taste!

Delightful

Holy Carrot was a welcome oasis in the chaos of Notting Hill on a sunny Saturday. All the staff were absolutely lovely and the menu boasts a variety of inventive dishes based around seasonal organic veg - the beetroot and blueberry was particularly wonderful! Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Sublime

The food and services were incredible. The artichoke was one of the best things I ever eaten in my life. Only downside is that everything includes soya which does not agree with me but it was worth the stomach pain

Nice Atmosphere & Fermentation

The pickles and ferments were interesting. The mushroom ragout was too salty and oily. The Caesar salad was too oily and wasn’t very flavorful. The soft serve was tasty but not better than vegan ice cream from the grocery store.

Nevertheless, the space is pleasant; there is outdoor seating. I also appreciated that many of the fermented items are made in-house.

Worth the wait!

Visited in May, Holy Carrot, which has been on my list of restaurants to try for months. I’d been eagerly following their social media for a while. It was certainly worth the wait, however a little different from expected, There seems to be a concept of ‘small’ and ‘large’ plates with the idea of ordering a few, and sharing. Gives the restaurant an upmarket Mediterranean feel. I  found the ‘large’ plates’ a little smaller than expected, but the vibrant, creative and very colourful dishes made up for it.  The different cooking techniques give some interesting flavours. All organic produce and purchased from smaller suppliers, which is always welcomed. We were a party of 4, and shared several large and small plates including - Asparagus, Smoked Tofu, Herb Mayonnaise, Shakshouka Grilled Peppers, Smoked Tofu, Focaccia, and carrots in white bean purée, We enjoyed everything and had room for dessert all of which are refined sugar free! A huge selling point for many people. As we arrived we were told it was the cocktail happy hour which was welcomed so we all enjoyed an excellent Margarita!
