Quality vegan restaurant

The only fully vegan place in Siem Reap and it does not disappoint! We went three times in two days and were blown away by the dumplings, noodles and amok!

Pros: Incredible food, Local cuisine options , Friendly staff

Best meal in Siem Reap

Pricey for Siem Reap but worth every cent. Our family of four (two teens) loved every bite.

Pros: Fully vegan , Quiet calm atmosphere, Amazing choice of dishes

Amazing! Food for the body and the soul

This place deserves 5 stars. The place is spacious and well-kept and offers a relaxing atmosphere, 15 minutes walk from the city center, but it is worth a visit. Stopping at this location offers refreshment for the body and mind. That said, the staff is friendly and speaks English. Possibility to pay by card without extra charge. Drinking water is provided for free. The menu offers in my opinion the right amount of dishes, not too many to be dispersive and not too few to be limiting. You immediately notice that in the preparation they use fresh and quality products, processed and assembled with skill and experience, as well as excellent and healthy to eat. Perhaps the only clarification I feel like making is that the prices are above average compared to other similar places, but it is money well spent for the overall quality of the experience. If you are in Siem Reap, you must stop by!

Pros: Relaxing location

Healthy delicious food

The restaurant is about a 10-minute walk from the centre but worth the trip. It has a beautiful outdoor seating area and it is tastefully decorated. The food is delicious, nicely presented and portions are generous. We were given two complimentary snacks while waiting for our mains, which we truly appreciated. The salt and pepper fried plantains were truly yummy! The kaffir lime ice cream which came with my cake is one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten. This place rocks.

Pros: Delicious food, Complimentary snacks, Setting

Mix of western and Cambodian food

This is the only fully vegan restaurant and everything I had was really good! The staff is also super friendly and I think the prices are fare considering the quality of the food.

festive let down

my first visit to Heybong to try the festive menu.
I had lots of expectations based on reviews.
a bit disappointed. Hardly a table spoon of jackfruit in the starter.
Mains was 2 sausages with mainly lots of lettuce. Vegans want more than lettuce! Some side noodles or fried rice would have been great.
Sweet option...just 1 friend banana ball (not "balls" plural as menu description). 18usd was a lot.
hopefully the main menu is better.
Service was very slow when restaurant was not very busy.

Very good veggie burger

Hey Bong is currently the only all vegan restaurant in Siem Reap. I love the ambiance and especially the low lying table as an option for those that like to sit on the floor.

Plentiful tables are readily available

Friendly service

Menu features Khmer Western juices smoothies all day brunch and three course meal of Cambodian cuisine prepared by Chef Chhat

I started with a fresh young coconut that was a refreshing drink

I went with the housemade veggie burger with sweet potato fries

Recommended

Pros: All vegan tasty options , Friendly staff, Ambiance

Delicious

Great find! Loved the modern vibe and the menu had a good variety of dishes but not so many that the quality drops. My chicken burger was really good, as was the Khemer red curry apparently. The deserts were a little more limited and didn't tempt us.

Pros: Funky restaurant decor, Good variety of plant based dishes, Delicious!

Cons: Where's my brownie?

This was one of the top vegan restaurants we have ever tried. Service was exceptional. Portion sizes were great and food was brought very quickly. We had fresh pressed juice that was made very good. Excellent prices. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend.

Not bad but not really worth going out of your way

This restaurant is pleasant, but very much alike a lot of other cafe/restaurants in Siem Reap, that although not vegan-only, may offer just as good vegan (and vegetarian) options.
We had a crispy vegan "non-pork" on rice and an avocado wrap, that were good but both slightly dry. Portions rather on the large size, like most places in SR.
Price range same as most places too.
Although everything was ok, I did not feel the offer was exceptional enough to go all the way there again.

Gluten free labelling may be wrong

I chose this restaurant as my partner is celiac and it has options listed as gluten free. We ordered a smoothie bowl without granola (it came with oats in the end even though it wasn’t listed in the description as having oats as an ingredient and in Aus celiacs cannot have oats - it may be different here I’m not sure, so I ate most of it) and the pandan pancakes which also were also listed as gluten free.

He was very sick after eating here and we’re fairly sure it was the pancakes. Of course we’re not 100% sure but he’s showing signs of being glutened and hadn’t eaten anything else. I hate leaving a bad review on the only vegan restaurant in Siem Reap but I thought other people needing to avoid gluten should be warned to take the labelling with caution.

In fairness to the restaurant the pancakes were tasty and the smoothies are good
so I have given a fair star rating. The smoothie bowl was a bit ordinary so maybe skip them if you come here.

It was a pretty pricey meal for the two of us which we paid to make sure he wouldn’t be sick…so we were quite disappointed.

Pros: All vegan , Presented nicely

Cons: Expensive , Gluten free perhaps falsely advertised
