Wonderful Ethiopian Cuisine - Edit
Ordered: traditional Ethiopian Vegan Lunch Plate.
Read moreIt was just what I was hoping it to be. The traditional plate had split peas a couple different lentils, greens, potato dish and injera to enjoy it with. Nice heat level, super flavorful, the green house sauce was next level and went great on all dishes. The food tasted great as leftovers the next day as well, but the lunch plate was big enough that you could share with another person if you wanted too. Everything was wonderful, the venue is very colorful, everyone working there and eating in the restaurant was very friendly. This is a fusion restaurant so it has many other dishes aside from traditional Ethiopian. Check it out if you like Ethiopian food or want to try something new.
Pros: Traditional Ethiopian Cuisine , Wonderful Staff, Warm Welcoming Environment

Great atmosphere; serves almost anything - Edit
Had vegan fir fir and ful for breakfast. Very large “menu” and would’ve made anything we ordered off menu too, any time of day. Secret sauce is really good too. Free refills on coffee.

Unique, Flavorful, Hearty - Edit
This place is so good. The menu is a bit chaotic, you have to go see it in person to truly appreciate it. The food is very flavorful and the owners are really kind.

An absolute gem - Edit
Heat Da Spot is a neighborhood gem. The family who owns and runs the restaurant are the most welcoming people you'll ever meet, and they treat every customer like their own family. Over the years, I've found that they're constantly updating the menu, so do expect to see new veg options from time-to-time. Their menu is a great mix of standard American breakfast options and Ethiopian fare, a few items of which can be modified to be vegan, so definitely be sure to ask. The vegan Ethiopian plate is great as well - in a city with no shortage of fantastic vegan Ethiopian options!

Cons: Not all veg, Some vegan options have disappeared over the years
