Good vegan choices - Edit
We probably didn't make the best choices from their options. We had the side of cauliflower with chilli oil, and it was delicious, if a small portion.
Read moreWe ordered 2 small poke bowls and were quite disappointed as they were very small and we would have been better getting one large and sharing it, which would have been more food and cheaper. The small bowls just had our choices of plain unfried tofu, 2 veg choices and a small pot of sauce, with some rice. It wasn't amazing.
To save on the biogradable packaging, the café could put the sauces straight onto the poke bowl.
Pros: Good choices
Cons: Pricey, Small bowls not good value for money, Rice/ veg and protein ratios could be better

A regular visitor - Edit
I’ve been here many times and I’ll be going lots more in the future! I’m kind of obsessed with the Fully Loaded which is a sushi burrito full of sweet potato, vegan chicken, avocado etc and it’s very tasty & satisfying! Though I’ve enjoyed all the food I’ve eaten there. I love that it’s totally vegan. It’s very convenient if you need quick food and I find it filling. Friendly, relaxed place.

I absolutely love it here! Been back a few times and everything I get is always so delicious!! The poke bowls are made fresh and you can customise what you put in them which is great! Will definitely continue to go back whenever I’m down in the lanes!

Tasty but not amazing - Edit
I had the inari tofu pickets with teriyaki sauce which was good and tasty for a small lunch. Though the menu was quite small from what you could pick from. Very much like a vegan version of kokoro.

Love it - Edit
The poke bowls here are delicious. I loved the tofu pockets and the mango mayo is sooooo good. I love the sushi Burritos too, particularly the duck filling.

Freshly made, wide choice! - Edit
Tried a sushi roll, poke bowl and a side. Glad to see it was all freshly made, tasty! Wasn’t keen on the poke bowl with the salmon and cream cheese, might just be me though!

Not really sushi - Edit
We visited Brighton for a day and went to Happy Maki for take away. The menu doesn’t offer any “normal” sushi , just poke bowl and rolls that are more like burrito than sushi. Their taste wasn’t really Japanese either, we were mildly disappointed.

Sadly disappointed - Edit
Been a customer for years but sadly won't go back. Dislike new self service screen venue, small, cold, uncomfortable, no toilet. Reduced menu, beet and basil satay burrito no longer on list, sells Coca Cola, have to pay for water and cauliflower popcorn changed for the worse. The Sydney Street restaurant was lovely, friendly and had a loo.

Quality has gone downhill - Edit
Sadly while this is still a fully vegan place, which is outstanding, the quality of the food has gone downhill. As another reviewer said, it’s also not mainly just a takeaway place, yet if you order the popcorn cauliflower, the pot size is less than half of its predecessor AND doesn’t come with any kind of lid even when taking the food off the premises. Disappointing. 😢

Change of Venue - Edit
Still great food but just a takeaway venue now. No longer has much indoor seating, uses takeaway packaging only and offers a limited menu.

Must go - Edit
Their sushi wraps are to die for. I first experienced their wraps whilst at a festival - and now every time I visit Brighton, this is a must stop location for a snack that is full of flavour - and so moreish. Light, but filling. Subtle, but mouth watering. Divine!

Yum - Edit
Not much to say here, other than this place is superb. Nice atmosphere and casual layout, perfectly located in The Lanes.
Read moreWe're split on which burrito was nicer, the Fully Loaded or Hoisin "duck," but either way you're having a great time. The popcorn cauli is the perfect blend of crispy and not-too-greasy, and the mango mayo is sweetly delicious. The satay pockets (inari) that come with the bento are tasty too, with plenty of rice and peanuty satay sauce.
Come here, eat, and be extremely satisfied.
Pros: Yum, Nice staff, Quick service
