Tasty! - Edit
Lovely ambience, and some very good pastries. The persimmon danish with cheese and dill was amazing. Excited to see what's next now that they're giving Lexi her own workspace. She's unbelievably talented ✨️🙌🏼

You must get the mango tajin croissant - Edit
4 stars simply for the mango tajin croissant which I’m still thinking about days later. Can’t give a 5 as I noted they sell dairy milk.
Read moreNice ambience and cute decor, empanadas and dips were also nice, but I found some of the other bakery stuff a little dry.
Pros: Mango tajin croissant, Good coffee
Cons: Serves dairy milk

It was ok - Edit
I bought a cinnamon roll and it was dry and expensive. I’ve had way better vegan pastries and baked goods. The place is cute though. But I wouldn’t say it’s worth it.

Blah - Edit
Not really 100% vegan - all food comes from a kitchen that also serves meat. Burrito was blah. Not worth going - better options close by.

Neighborhood Vegan Spot - Edit
Much of what I like about Guevara Domino Park is that it exists in my neighborhood, it's the closest 'fully' vegan spot to me and having it near the park is convenient. But as others have noted, it's kind of a confusing experience, while Guevara's is 100% vegan the menu you're handed is for the Mekelburg's restaurant which is very much not vegan and the food is all cooked in and served by their kitchen.
Read moreToday I tried a special seasonal latte that was fig flavored and it was really nice, lightly sweet and subtle suggestion of fig with frothy oat milk, made by the Guevara's barista in the cafe. And I got the vegan burrito which was pretty good-- kind of a healthier take, filled with Just Egg, rice & black beans, cashew crema, topped with some kind of green sauce which I'm not sure what it was, maybe also sesame seeds??? and served with a tasty side salad. My partner got the B.E.C. and liked that a lot, although he had wanted the bagel and vegan lox but it was no longer on the menu.
Guevara's cafe has cute decor and you can eat in their corner area within the bigger space. It's located inside the small trendy Mekelburg's gourmet grocery and ('real' meat & cheese) deli with lively (loud) pop music playing -so it feels sort of 'cool' and the shop has an interesting selection of sundries, such as vegan babka, locally roasted coffee beans named for streets in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, quirky cards etc. so it can be a good spot to pick up a last minute gift.
Wednesday they supposedly have Trivia night at the Mekelburg's bar & restaurant so overall, I'm glad to have this local spot with vegan food in South Williamsburg.

It's alright - Edit
The cute cafe closes early but the bar in the back serves Guevara's food until late at night which makes the opening and closing hours a bit confusing.

Lovely spot to take a break - Edit
We went to get the Guava & Cream but ended up with Guava only as they didn't have any cream - this was so perfect and refreshing and I'm sure that with the cream it would have even tasted better.
Read moreLovely spot and some places to sit down and relax between the plants. Also lovely selection of knick knacks for a bit of shopping on the side.
Lunch menu looked great as well if you would be in the area looking for a bite to eat.

Adorable Ambiance, Subpar Donuts - Edit
I’m not sure if this review is entirely credible because I didn’t get to order what I would have selected due to the fact that I placed an order with the app TooGoodToGo, so I got — essentially — what are the last choices (that didn’t sell the day before). They gave me 3 huge donuts (was kind of hoping for sandwiches or conchas). I think 2 of them were guava cream cheese and one was some sort of jam. They were quite dry and I didn’t care for the flavors too much (but then again, that’s mainly due to the nature of how I places the order). The cafe itself is adorable and I would go back on different terms to try other things.
