Up for a sweet deal? Of course you are! - Edit
I wasn't impressed with London's health food shops, especially since Planet Organic seems to have vanished from the city (centre at least) and I don't want to support the likes of Whole Foods, whose founder compared unions to herpes! Moreover, it was too bad that Bumblebee Natural Foods, which previously boasted three locations, had to settle for one at this point, or that Alara Wholefoods currently has a more modest store under a different name.
Read moreOld favourite Earth Natural Foods, in Kentish Town, remains, and I think I must add Grown by Nature to the list. It's not because everything is organic (it isn't), but they sure cram loads of items in a fairly small space. Also, I'm always up for bargains, and they were quite cooperative in this regard. That's right, I found items that had recently expired, or in some cases quite a while ago.. and they gave me a 50% discount. Perhaps it could be argued that's a weakness on their part, but I'm happy to help them do their job if perks come with it!
I didn't really care much for packaged items from Suma or Infinity Foods, as I generally avoid plastic and couldn't carry that heavy items with me. Either way, the range sure was considerable.
I only picked one single mango and some kind of (sadly sparkling) ginger drink, other than the discounted products.. but Grown by Nature truly offers all kinds of more or less exotic fruits, from plantains to gooseberries. A slightly chaotic shop, yet a pleasure to visit.

Local Vibes - Edit
An extremely vegan friendly store. Looks like a fruit and veg store from the outside but once you spot the Oatly window display you know there is bound to be more to discover inside. We picked up some room snacks and dips; lentil chips, hummus, muhammara dip, VG cream cheese and oatly cream).
