Cute little cafe with vegan breakfast - Edit
While there isn’t many vegan options we enjoyed what we ordered. Though not listed on the menu, the lovely server told us she can make the breakfast platter vegan. Comes with beans, mushrooms, veggie sausage, and steamed spinach. Wasn’t my favorite thing but not bad! The pancakes were excellent. I was obsessed with the vibes it was so cute and cozy. Would recommend for coffee and pancakes! or to go with a nonveg person.

Tasty - Edit
One vegan option on the menu l. I had the veggie breakfast but asked for the vegan version as per the menu description advises. The dish came out with scrambled egg on, the waitress was very apologetic and kindly took our homemade lemonade off the menu. The lemonade was delicious, as was the fresh orange juice.

Excellent and Reliable! - Edit
This is my third visit to to Greenwoods. I’ve been to the Keizersgracht and Singel addresses. I’ll keep coming back whenever in Amsterdam. While both sites are relatively small, and if you get there much past their open time, there is likely a wait, it is worth it. The menu has one main vegan option. But is great. Previous visits had an English Breakfast, vegan style. For my most recent visit, they changed the menu and offered a wonderful carrot, beet, chick pea, and hummus dish. It was super!! The tea is great, as well… which made me happy since good tea is hard to find in Amsterdam. Service is consistently great. But like I said, space is tight. Happy to find Greenwoods and look forward to many returns.

Only has 1 menu option - not even breakfast. - Edit
The menu has only 1 vegan option, which is fine but I wish they had a breakfast vegan option. I went there thinking there was a vegan breakfast but there wasn’t. I talked to the waitress and luckily she was able to customize something for me but it was still disappointing. They can’t always customize menu options so just keep that in mind - especially during busy times. I hope they can expand their vegan options soon.

Cons: Only 1 vegan option - no vegan breakfast. , Cannot customize menu options during busy times. , The customized vegan dish was underwhelming.

Nice but missed opportunity - Edit
I had a very well put together BBQ jackfruit bowl which to be fair is the nicest BBQ jackfruit I've had. Delicate marinade and plenty of texture still as these things can be mushy. Otherwise, essentially a salad and not very filling for a man with a normal appetite. 3x pieces of toasted tortilla provided.
Read moreThe venue itself is clearly setting itself up as cool Waterside venue for an English breakfast and yet there is no vegan breakfast option despite vegan bacon and salmon being optional extras. But you wouldn't normally have them with the BBQ jackfruit or the other vegan option, a cauliflower and chickpea dish so why bother? There is a veggie breakfast with eggs but the menu explicitly states you are not allowed to customise any menu option at busy times so trying to have and modify this dish is forbidden. Time to watch your friends have a full English while you nurse your salad leaves.
Non vegan milks were available for hot drinks which was good.
Pros: Some vegan options, Tasty
Cons: Vegan options aren't "breakfast", Not allowed to modify dish
