Great service, food, and atmosphere - Edit
First of all the vibe of the place is awesome in a good location.
Read moreThe service was so friendly, constantly ensuring we had everything we needed (refills, etc) and all had cool pro-plant shirts.
The food was next level good for the breakfast we had. All their omelettes could be made vegan and I got the Mexican omelette while my wife got the Migas, which were also great. We had ordered a short stack to split thinking the portions were going to be small but couldn’t even eat it while there since our plates were both so big.
Pros: Staff was super nice , Amazing vibe , Many vegan options and delicious food
Cons: Not full on vegan

Friendly vegan meals - Edit
Apparently vegan other than offers eggs and cheese. Cute decor, seemed to have a large customer base for Monday lunch and staff quickly moving to meet customer needs. Tabby was my cashier for my to go order and she was VERY friendly and helpful. For lunch I ordered the lunch special, “fish” burrito with fries and side of Sesame slaw for around $11. SO GOOD. Hands down the best meal I have had in a long time. So good I went back the next night to get something to go for dinner. Got the Korean Beef Burrito from the menu. Ordered the dolma as my side just so I could try it. Both were really good but I guess not as filling as I found the lunch. If I ever come back to town, I would put this on my must visit spots.

Great food and good variety - Edit
Nice area with lots of parking everywhere but if you go to multiple places, remember where your car is! The restaurant was very welcoming and really busy which boded well.
Read moreAlthough we were nine (on a Wednesday evening), they seated us pretty quickly. Drinks were strange - don't forget that green tea in the US is not our nice hot tea! Great lemonade though and free refills including to take away (not that I could manage more than a glass, even if it's not fizzy).
Good varied menu and everyone enjoyed their food, and most people were meat eaters! I had the chicken fried chikn which was superb. I don't know why it's not all vegan but most things can be vegan, and the staff generally asked for each dish whether you wanted it vegan or dairy.
I didn't have dessert as they'd run out of what I wanted but the cupcakes seemed popular. Initially annoyed the cakes were all served in plastic takeaway cups but I checked and they were compostible corn ones :)
They were really organised splitting our bill too, asking at the start about who's paying with whom. A nice relief!
Pros: Great food, Lovely place/decor, Very efficient
Cons: Serves dairy, Can run out of fresh desserts

Appetizers were delicious - Edit
Deep fried avocado and buffalo cauliflower wings to start were delicious. Lots of sauces to try. All vegan. Mushroom and artichoke quesadilla and the eggplant spaghetti was okay. Make sure you ask for vegan. Our waiter was great. Good atmosphere, just up from the riverwalk. Desserts were really good

The deep fried pickles with ranch are exquisite! I also had a wrap of some kind that was less remarkable. Friendly staff as someone else mentions.

A nice find! - Edit
Was happy to come across Green Vegetarian Cuisine in San Antonio, a city with few vegan options. Located in the Pearl area, Green Vegetarian offers a menu with significant variety. I opted for the fried chikin with kale salad and sweet potato fries. Definitely not a "healthy" option, but a tasty one nonetheless! Also enjoyed a cupcake for dessert.

Phenomenal food and service! - Edit
Stopped here with my family on our way down to Laredo and we were so full, happy, and in love by the time we left! The service was great, our waiter took the time to tell us what was vegan versus vegetarian, when we told them we didn’t think our kiddo could finish a meal but would like some sliced tomatoes for her (even if they charged us for it) he said no problem. They brought out a massive plate for her and told us it was on the house! She loved it! As for my husband and I, we inhaled the BBQ cauliflower appetizer and then he ordered the fish and chips while I had their quinoa burrito. Both were amazing! Then the strawberry cheesecake cupcake.....it blew my mind!!!

Crazy Busy - Crazy Good - Edit
This place was hopping on a sunny Sunday afternoon in in the Pearl of San Antonio. We had the vegan avocado toast with hollandaise, the tofu huevos mexicali and sweet potato pancakes and they were all delicious. A full case of delicious looking vegan dessert treats but we were too full from our fantastic meal. Oh well, we’ll just have to go back!

Super food, super company! - Edit
My family loves Green and all of their other restaurants! Great comfort food and the best part is that we can take omni's to eat with us and everyone enjoys the food. And we can order splurge foods or super healthy foods - whatever we feel like on that day. Large portions often send us home with leftovers but we always save room for dessert. The desserts are delicious! Love the cooking classes offered too.

The best! - Edit
I have been coming to this location of Green since I converted to vegetarian in 2015. It is simply amazing! I often order their falafel burrito on days that aren't Friday, but on Friday it is all about the green enchiladas with sweet cinnamon tea. You can get your cheese regular or Vegan, which is great since I am transitioning to Vegan. The cooks will walk around and talk to you, and all of their desserts are made fresh daily. It is a family owned restaurant, and I support that and local businesses.
Read moreThey have a Mediterranean bowl which is a lot like the falafel burrito, but de constructed. I love it! big, thick slices of carrot and cucumber that you can dip in the pecan hummus or thick and creamy, vegan tzaziki.
They have another location, on the northwest side, but it is subpar to the Pearl location (greyson). I'm not sure why. Maybe the cooks? But if you are in San Antonio, this is the place to go. Bring an empty belly and fill up on some amazing, home made vege/vegan food! They even have gluten free options, too.
Pros: Vegan/Vege/gluten free options, well rounded menu, reasonable prices
Cons: Sometimes there is a wait, it is a bit loud, so don't expect a quite dinner
