I’ll be back again 🦖 - Edit
I was so excited to finally try this pub out, it was as good as I expected. This will 100% be one of the first places I recommend to vegans visiting Melbourne. Delicious food, fun decor and just overall..”normal”!? It felt like just a regular pub and that was the best part about it. Besides being entirely vegan of course.

Pretty decent and fun being an all vegan pub - Edit
The food here is pretty good. King oyster Calamari is actually life changing though. Carbonara was lovely mix the vegan egg yolk very impressive. Broccolini was a bit disappointing unfortunately.

EDIT: It's now fully vegan, hurray! I love the Sunday roast, so delicious. Also enjoy the carbonara, burger and pomme frites. Great drinks, great atmosphere and it has outdoor seating so you can bring the pooch!
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by the food - looking at the menu I thought it might just be one of those places serving expesnive pretentious vegetables, but it all actually quite tasty. Only giving 4 stars because it's not all vegan.

Traditional style pub, great retro feel to the bar. Food was amazing, the mushroom eye fillet a tasty innovative dish. Something for everyone with vegi burgers to anyone too. Seem to cater for all allergies as well. Loved it

Great pub atmosphere, all vegan - Edit
Green Man’s Arms is fantastic. A classic Melbourne pub and 100% vegan. Most options are gluten free too.

Need to try other options - Edit
Was excited to visit my first fully vegan pub so, expectations were high. The food was quite bland. Had the eggplant Parmi and the chips and coleslaw tasted better than the eggplant. Was disappointed no flavouring/ spice on it just batter and breadcrumbs. The chorizo plate was alright, just some dips, bread and selection of hummus, chorizo sausage, pickles etc. the calamari was the best option for the time of the menu, they were only doing a few options as dinner started a 6pm. Some different dishes might be better.

Fully vegan pub - Edit
Have had better eggplant parmas. The chips and coleslaw were better than the eggplant itself. Second fully vegan pub I've visited. Staff were friendly and it had a good atmosphere. Overall food was okay, but quite expensive.

Best pub dining ever - Edit
Excellent service, excellent food and an extensive menu. This place was justifiably busy on our Thu night visit. We enjoyed the chorizo share plate with the vegan feta - the chorizo was a revelation although it would have been nicer if the bread was warm and not fridge cold - as well as the cheeseburger and the mushroom fillet steak, the latter another revelation in inventiveness and deliciousness.

Great pub - Edit
Had a great time here. We ordered a fix price option. Had the feel of a fancy restaurant in a pub atmosphere. The food was good, and I would say that the portions were a little larger and the prices a little lower than other places with fix price menus. Excellent experience.

100% vegan now! - Edit
I was going to see a film on a Friday night so I booked a table before the film started. It was quite busy. I ordered the bolognese which was filling and tasty. The dessert I chose was the mandarine sorbet and I particularly loved the chocolate mousse flavour. Service was prompt even though all the tables were full. I’d like to go back and try some other dishes

Delightful! - Edit
Delicious, pub-style food and local beverages - we really loved the vibe inside, and really fantastic to see an all-vegan place totally packed on a Sunday night.
Read moreWe had the Sunday roast which was great, but our highlight was the sticky date pudding for dessert - one of the best I’ve ever had! So moist and chewy, and complimented by creamy vanilla icecream.

Been here several times and it seems to be getting better and better.
Read moreLove the mushroom calamari and roast potatoes.
If you do go here, I highly recommend the mushroom steak with butter sauce. It's pricey but worth it!
Edit: returned Sept 2024. Ordered the mushroom streak and unfortunately was a bit of let down. Less sumptuous, under seasoned (including the potatoes) and the reduction sauce was too sweet. Also ordered caesar salad, which was okay but under- dressed. Bit of a let down. Lost a bit of love and refinement.

Superb - Edit
This quite simply was one of the great gourmet meals. We had the Caesar salad which had surprise after surprise and a fabulous light cheese sauce. The pasta was beautiful and delicate and happened to be on special that night. And the prize must go to the calamari which was simply the best mushroom calamari I’ve ever tasted. we only had one dessert which was the lemon tart and that was as amazing as the rest of the meal. The Service was so good that it was not at all a pub type experience but rather a Gourmet Vegan restaurant experience.

Into my arms - Edit
We came here on a Monday to celebrate a birthday, it being a Monday our choice of restaurants was limited and in the end I'm glad because the food and atmosphere here were delightful. They were still doing the Sunday roast for some reason, which was one of those universe aligning moments because we both ordered it and it absolutely hit the spot on a cold Melbourne I-can't-belive-it's-not-winter night. The nut roast was flavoursome and had good structural integrity, was neither too dry/crumbly or too gluey, and all the trimmings were fab. The Yorkshire pudding was super tasty, although not much like the ones I remember from pre-vegan days. The Hasselback potato could have been crispier on top, but was still good. I was a fan of the mint jelly, it had a nostalgic vibe while being kind of updated and different, I thought the flavour and texture were a little more delicate than the one my dad used to shovel out of the jar. Other than that it came with peas, carrots, pumpkin and gravy, all good but I would have enjoyed more gravy, not because it needed it but because I will literally eat gravy like soup if it's decent.
Read moreThey've also got a good range of mocktails, which is always much appreciated as someone who doesn't drink alcohol. I got a mint julep kind of situation with some candied ginger in it, fresh and tasty and not too sweet.
The vibe here is nice, it's cosy and welcoming, a little quirky and a little fancy but mostly just relaxed and warm. The staff are friendly and attentive and not at all intrusive. It's the perfect location for a pre-movie dinner, we headed across to Cinema Nova afterwards so we didn't sample the desserts here because we were saving space for the vegan choc top. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu - what I peeked at on other tables looked so good!

Yeah just a vanilla one, I think they're made in house! It's pretty good, not mind-blowing but exactly the kind of trashy treat I want at the cinema!
