Stopped here on a rainy day and it was fantastic to be able to sit inside and enjoy my gelato. The vegan menu is extensive and more options than the regular milk based. The flavors are creative! I tried the turmeric with cinnamon and pepper and it was fantastic! Out of all the gelaterias I’ve tried in bologna this is definitely the one I want to come back to!

It’s What Flavour?! - Edit
Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. These are probably the standard when it comes ice cream flavours and probably what would come to mind first. How about wasabi? Or better yet, curry? Yes, that right curry flavoured gelato was on offer here and that is exactly what I got, and you know what? It was bloody fantastic! I paired it with the rather more conservative scoops of gianduja and mint chocolate and these were equally brilliant in their own classic way. I may have also sampled the cherry chocolate and the almond & hazelnut, but only for your benefit of course, and I can tell you that these too were excellent in both taste and texture. The cones weren’t half bad, too. That aforementioned wasabi will is in my sights, I will update accordingly.
Read moreUPDATE: No wasabi upon my return, but the chocolate chilli provided a nice alternative with a real kick of heat. The almond too was lovely and the matcha was potentially my favourite one from here.

I've been on the lookout for vegan pistachio ice cream for 10 years now. I found it today at Stefino, in their oddly named Mediterraneo Veg (pistachio and almond flavor), which I had along with Gianduia (chcoloate/hazelnut). both rice-milk based. The cones are apparently all vegan as well, though I decided not to fight through my rusty Italian for one (they were very polite about it, and probably spoke fluent English). In any case, very friendly, great flavors.

Very friendly place with great ice cream. The vegan varieties also included - when I went there - a curry-themed flavour, which was certainly unusual, and I also had a vegan chocolate, which was also great. Generally speaking, a large number of vegan varieties.

Beautiful gelateria not far from the centre of Bologna. Vegan (bio and gluten free) ice cream cones and biodegradable cups (and spoons). Has a wide choice of vegan flavors. Whipped cream is free, but made from cow-milk, of course.

I loved the gelato here and was happy to find some unique flavor options! I got the "Cuba" flavor (dark chocolate with sour cherries) and the "Curcuma" flavor (turmeric with cinnamon and black pepper) and both were delicious! They also made a great combination. I almost went back to try more since I was curious about their other vegan flavors. English menu with clear labels. Slightly more pricey than basic gelato places, but worth it and included vegan cone.

We were in Bologna for a family wedding in May and I had done my research about where to go for gelato. Our expectation were completely exceeded! We tried loads of flavours including Mediterranean veg, wasabi, green tea, chocolate and curry and a chocolate and rum. Wow, the best gelato ever. Service really welcoming. My Italian cousin confessed before we left that she spent years getting gelato from here so there’s the real rating from an Italian!

Some really exciting flavours here, like lemon and basil, or chocolate and curry. I had two flavours that I hadn't spotten veganised anywhere else on my holiday: coconut, and mint choc chip. They were both really delicious. Service was friendly, and there are a few seats too.
