I would not follow the other visitors’ opinions and consider this restaurant to be “the best Indian ever” at all.

Lentils in Dal Tarka were all dissolved / overcooked.
I was expecting the onion bhajis to be shaped as balls/nuggets and have more consistency.
But it was very nice that they had vegan garlic naan.

Best Indian restaurant ever - Edit
It’s probably the best Indian restaurant I ate at (and I did a lot so it means something - outside India to be fair…). The dishes are prepared super fresh and handmade by the chef/boss, you can taste it. Loves the food and will come back.
Read moreThe kitchen is modern and clean, the owner was very friendly and even opened for me when it was actually already closed. He told me that he had a tough time during COVID with no tourists around. So he’s happy to cook now. Also has cooking classes.
It’s more on the expensive side compared to Peru/local standard but in my eyes it’s worth it completely.
Pros: Super tasty, Freshly handmade
Cons: More on the expensive side, Unfortunately serves meat as well

This place was wonderful! The food was delicious but the atmosphere was what made it even better. As soon as you walk in the smell of spices hits you and you feel like you are in India. The chef/owner cooks with such passion and is clearly so proud of the business he has created after moving from India to Peru. I had the Chana masala which was delicious. There were plenty of clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options. They are really authentic Indian dishes and attention to detail is amazing with even the plates handmade locally. Will definitely visit again.

Read moreI came here the other day and was thoroughly impressed. The chana masala was excellent, the rice was great and well-presented, and the bhaji pakora were crispy and delicious. The chef was absolutely lovely as well, too, and it was clear he takes pride in his food.

A small and very friendly restaurant, with very tasty food. I contacted them by Whatsapp for details and they were immediately responsive. Very attentive service, wanting to make sure that all was correct with my order. Really lovely food: curry with an Indian bread and Indian tea. Make sure you say you are vegan as some options are not on the menu. I went on my own and felt very comfortable. I will be going back soon.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had! - Edit
I’m vegan, and the man working there was incredibly friendly and accommodating to both myself and my non-veg mom. The interior is beautiful and cozy, and the restaurant itself is a straight shot from the well-known Plaza de Armas (very convenient spot to grab some lunch or dinner after a day of exploring).

I loved it all so much that I’m coming back to Garhwal on another day before I leave Cusco. So happy to have such delicious vegan options here in Cusco!

Amit comes from India and his food is just like at home, maybe even better! Very easy going, your dishes are customised to suit your taste easily, and is a nice place to hang out. Masala chai, daal with Jaipuri naan are my favourites. Keep rocking Amit!
