Brunch Spot - Edit

Good place to go with omnis. They only have a couple of vegan options but the Be Hive bowl was amazing, especially topped with their hot sauce (ingredients include coffee and nooch, oddly good!) Several coffee and alcoholic options. Be prepared for a long wait to get in on the weekends, but the wait for food wasn’t long and it has a good atmosphere.

Experience not the best - Edit

We stopped in for a mid-afternoon post-flight meal and coffee. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. I ordered The BE Hive Bowl and my wife ordered the Quinoa & Black Bean Burger. Those two items are the only vegan options on the menus.

We were a bit pressed for time and asked the waitress if we could get served in 25 minutes, and mentioned we had a meeting in 45 minutes. She assured us we could get our meals in 20 minutes but it ended up taking at least 40 minutes before the food was served. We had to eat in a hurry which was not pleasant. I understand that good food takes time to prepare and would have been fine if the waitress was honest - we would just have come back later and enjoyed a pleasant experience.

The Hive Bowl was very good and I enjoyed the unique components and flavors. The Burger was difficult to eat - no matter how we tried to pick it up, the burger and components just kept sliding apart. I think perhaps the roll needs to be looked at to see if another type of roll might keep the burger together for easier eating.

The coffee was OK, but didn't make up for the rest of the experience.

We're here for a week, and don't think we'll go back to the Frothy Monkey.

Pros: BE Hive Bowl tasty, Wait staff nice

Cons: Inexplicable wait for food, Burger unwieldy

This restaurant has such a great vibe. I highly recommend for coffee and treats. I only noticed one vegan option for breakfast but it was delicious. #Veganuary

Another Monkey Doesn't Monkey Around - Edit

Simple. Clean. Fresh. Creative. Savory. Accidental discovery walking towards the Ryman from Country Music Hall of Fame. In Orlando I enjoy the Drunken Monkey located in the Milk District neighborhood. Shared information with server about the contrast. She advised that the downtown location of the FM is more "commercially streamlined" (my words) than the other location with a more relaxed casual and less upscale vibe. Either way, I enjoyed it and would look forward to sampling an entre in a future visit to Nashville. My sister wants to go and I would gladly bring her while we visit. Thanks for the great service.
