A very alternative Cafe, with a grocery store and a lot of political activities, like campaign meetings. They serve a good coffee, had a delicious toastie, a half sandwich and a slice of carrot walnut cake. Sandwiches and toasti were packed with fresh and delicious veggies.

Yes they need to get rid of all products of animal abuse. Until that happens they are nowhere near vegan. You can be nearly all plant-based but you can’t be nearly all vegan. You’re either vegan or you’re not.

I hadn’t been here in a few years, and I think it is as good if not better than it was. I ordered the chefs bowl of the day, and it was so delicious! I also had a matcha latte which was not bad. One staff member was really poker faced, and looked like she didn’t want to be there tbh, and another one was so sweet! Always smiling and happy. Such a contrast! Over all it was a really nice experience. Very reasonably priced for organic food too.

Easily accessed via tram 86 and along a busy street filled with restaurants, cafes, bars etc. The place has some outdoor seats as well as some upstairs seating. There are many things for sale inside eg candles. The place has a down-to-earth and wholesome feel. Be sure to check the label to see if the food is vegan or not.

We have been here many times. It is part cafe and part grocery. The food is delicious and healthy. We enjoyed the bowls, the sandwiches, the cakes and the cookies. They make really good coffees. It is a very casual place to eat and has a very pleasant atmosphere. Currently, it has been open every day even Sunday. Sunday they open later, at 11 am. Even my non veg sister has enjoyed the food here.

I love these guys. FOE has fast become my favourite place to go for a weekday lunch. Their seasonal lunch plate is always an amazing collection of different taste sensations, and it is always both satisfying and absolutely delicious. The chefs here are so talented!

I love their bulk food shop as well. It is so great to be able to shop for grocery and pantry items in reusable jars and to buy organic and healthy foods at very reasonable prices.

Love this place, I used to teach yoga across the road and would go in for lunch with my partner after every Friday last winter. The always changing Vegan GF bowl is always delicious and hits the spot. This co-op is worth supporting as they are really doing the work of feeding the community in a non-pretentious grass-roots way. Awesome truly healthy food and so many bulk things hard to find elsewhere. Their bulk loose leaf tea selection is well worth a visit. Keep up the good work.
