You won’t believe it 100% Vegan! - Edit
I visited at the beginning of March and it was so amazing, I decided to come again a few days later! The menu is extensive, there is so much choice, from cookie sandwiches to fresh cakes to milkshakes to coffees. They do a cake offer if you buy 4 slices and as you can take them away too, it’s a great deal. Presentation is fantastic and the staff are super friendly and many speak fluent English too. I would recommend taking time to read the menu and make sure to leave run in your tummy, as the desserts are pretty much a meal themselves! You won’t believe it’s 100% vegan!

J’ai goûter le cheesecake à la fraise et ma copine un carotte cake.... le cheesecake malgré son apparence, n’était pas trop sucré - je crois qu’il a était fait avec du tofu soyeux qui lui donnait une texture très agréable! Petit bémol pour le présentation- un peu années 80s.

We went there because of the recommendations here - and were disappointed. I liked the vibe of the small shop and the cakes looked nice, but they (we had Oreo and white chocolate) didn't meet our expectations at all. They lacked flavor, I couldn't identify which cake was which with closed eyes as they tasted similarly bland. Instead they contained so much cream, that we felt sick afterwards. So if you enjoy having a fatty gluey lump in your stomach after eating, this is your place!

The small cafe near the Gran Via offers a variety of delicious fresh and homemade cream cakes (€ 3,50), cupcakes and brownies. Hot drinks (coffee € 1,50) and smoothies are also available. Highly recommended if you are looking for a sweet treat!

The Oreo Cake was Amazing! - Edit
My husband and I visited Madrid and tried Freedom Cakes. All the cakes looked amazing, but we ended up getting the Oreo cake. It was so so good. The person at the front spoke some English and it was easy ordering.

This was my favorite place to get cake in Madrid, cute shop in a funky neighborhood. All items are vegan and there were at least nine flavors of cakes every day, in addition to cookies inside, "milk"shake options, and tea/coffee. I thought the prices were great, at least compared to my hometown of Seattle.

Brilliant variety, but overpriced - Edit
If you're looking for a one-stop-shop for sweet treats in Madrid this is probably the place. That being said, I usually end up at Delish Donuts now instead, as you get much more bang for your buck. Freedom kept the prices the same but made the slices smaller for some reason and the last couple of times I went I felt a little ripped off.
