Cute place

Went here with my omnivore family and everyone was satisfied. Their special was a mushroom slider and was by far the best item on the menu that day. Super flavorful. The rest was average. Nachos were soggy and some of the other tapas could have packed more flavor. Great cocktails and mocktails!

didn’t love as much as i wanted to :/

the aesthetic is very cute, but the portions are teeny, the prices very expensive, and the food wasn’t especially good. they have a creative menu though so i appreciated that.

Trainwreck...ok the staff were nice

I was excited to learn that there was a new vegan restaurant walking distance from my home.

We ordered 5 dishes. While the server noted that food would be brought out as ready, we did not expect to receive all 5 dishes at exactly the same time. Even a marginally coursed experience would have been much better - especially for a restaurant that claims to serve tapas.

All of the food was, at best, underseasoned and, at worst, not edible. Of the latter was the ricotta and “focaccia.” Focaccia is in quotations because while it was actually some kind of bread, it tasted old and then toasted. The “ricotta” was a scoop of cold cashew butter coated in agave syrup. I took one bite before deciding it wasn’t worth the energy it took to chew it.

The mushroom pasta dish…let’s just say, if you have an entire pasta section on the menu, I don't automatically expect it to be homemade, but ridged squiggle macaroni isn't exactly distinguished in way that doesn't scream boxed Barilla. Too much sage, salt is absent, a couple mushrooms, but plenty of dollars.

The salad was fine. Underseasoned (huge surprise there) and just a handful of mixed greens, which is just a slap, especially at that price point. I know a salad is a salad but this really was just mixed greens, a couple slices of raw radish and some plain ass lentils.

The “fries” were also a victim of the salt fairy's neglect and the homemade tomato ketchup tasted as if it were poured from a can of crushed tomatoes right into a ramiken.
And lastly, the crab cake was soft, soggy fried bread crumbs swimming in mayonnaise and the “slaw” was diced raw red bell pepper and corn with, again, no detectable seasoning whatsoever.

Here's the thing, this is all unfortunate but it isn't that big of a deal. Had a bad dinner- move on with your life. Sure. But then...

I overheard a nearby diner stating that he understands subpar quality in vegan food in exchange for healthier eating. Just no. I find this restaurant to be quite damaging to any plant-based/vegan/vegetarian movement. There are plenty of restaurants around the country that create absolutely delicious vegan food. There is no need to sacrifice quality. Don't perpetuate everyone's uncle's view on "what vegans eat." I hope this restaurant can learn how to cook and present food that stands up as what they're advertising. Walk the freaking walk Fitz on 4th.

I do feel a little badly that this review is as harsh as it is. Perhaps a little snobby I admit. But I very much maintain these opinions. It's not that I had any expectations that weren't met because I didn't have any. More just "hopes" one might have going to eat food at a restaurant. Maybe I have unrealistic standards. Hard to say.. but they're mine nonetheless.

Nice vibe not the best food

I feel bad saying this but I thought the food had basically no seasonings and was super bland. I wanted to love this place so badly.

A must try

Our omnivore family dined here and loved the food and the ambiance. The menu is fresh and seasonal, I loved all of the dishes that I tried. The pasta and the empanadas get a special shout out but please don’t miss the nachos or the eggplant either! Everything was well seasoned and fresh, we enjoyed it all.

Pros: Variety of options, Specialty drinks , Ambiance

One of the best meals we've ever had

Extremely creative use of nuts as meat replacements. Very very well executed. Whatever they do for their sauces are also fantastic.

Pros: Creative dishes, Emphasis on whole foods (e.g. nut meats), Zero/low waste (cloth hand towels in the restroom)

Cons: Expensive but fair. More of a tasting menu.

Best Restaurant I’ve Ever Been To

This restaurant is absolutely incredible. I’ve been multiple times and have had an amazing experience each and every time. I’ve sat outside and love the relaxed outdoor street seating, I’ve sat inside in the lounge area near the friendly hosts, and I’ve sat in the back area near the gorgeous mural of the birds and cant get over how beautiful this place is - so cute and Instagrammable. And don’t even get me started on the food! Best vegan food I’ve ever had, the crab cake, eggplant, Rigotcha, Mac and cheese, cauliflower and tacos are some of my favorites that I recommend. I also went for brunch and my family had a bunch of amazing items like the French toast, omelet and more. The masons garden and the berry margarita are the best cocktails!! The service is so great, super friendly and really make you feel like you’re at home. Honestly I’m so happy we have a place like this in the neighborhood - highly recommend a visit!

Pros: Amazing food, Beautiful decor, Friendly service

Way too expensive for the Quality

Listen, I'm really not trying to be an a-hole. But my very mild-mannered, 'will eat anything', partner said this was the worst meal they had all year, and I'm inclined to agree. Because it's in my neighborhood, I'll try it again in a couple months to see if the kinks have been worked out.

For the exact same cost (about $65+ pp), you can get the same kind of meal (plus cocktails that actually contain alcohol and are larger than a teacup) at many other restaurants around Philly. It's a beautiful space, they're really maximize it and fill it with tables, though I didn't love being sat directly behind the host stand.

The vibe I get is that the owner is someone who was a great home cook and has a lot of money to burn on a new business. There was a pretty glaring lack of technical cooking expertise, thoughtfulness, vision, and cohesion. I also really hope they change the way they either 1. serve the menu, or 2. train their servers. I used to manage & sous at a restaurant in the city at a similar price point which also claimed to serve food "as it's ready", but the servers had the skill (and decency) to stagger the tickets to create a smooth and appropriate dining experience for the customer (who was paying serious money to be there and eat veggies!).

It’s also not tapas…. It’s tapas “style” service and small plates. The style of food itself is confusing…. I guess you could say it’s generally akin to Charlie Was a Sinner?

Best Vegan Food!!

From the moment I walked in the door I had a great feeling about this restaurant. I decor and colors are so inviting but the staff immediately made us feel welcomed and that we were about to have a great dining experience. We were not disappointed. The empanadas are amazing as was the fried avocado. We also enjoyed the crab cakes which were cooked to perfection! The cocktail menu made is very difficult to choose but I found the mojito to be truly refreshing on a hot summer day. Be sure to check out this great addition to Queen Village in PA. It is a short drive from South Jersey and was definitely worth it!
