Good portion sizes

We came to Fig for breakfast. I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito and my partner ordered the veggie spicy eggs, and said they weren’t very spicy. Fillings for both looked very similar. As with all food in Split, it was expensive. The menu does not state oat milk, only almond and soya, but when asked they had it so be sure to ask for oat!

Pros: Vegan milk options , Portion sizes , Friendly staff

Cons: A little bland

Nope

I had the sweet potato fries, they were okay but way over priced (€10.50) and my wife had the roasted veggies (€15.00). They weren’t roasted and tasted awful, everything tasted the same.
Staff were nice, but I’d spend your money elsewhere.

Portions really fill you up I struggled to finish mine & I hadn’t eaten all day

Loads of options I didn’t know what to pick I wish I wasn’t alone so I could share with others

Great location & food

We went for breakfast and sat outside which was really nice and very pretty. It was very accommodating. Most meals were not vegan but had a little symbol to show that a vegan option was available. I had guac and roasted tomatoes on toast. The staff were very nice too - they accidentally put egg on my meal but quickly made another one without the egg and even took it off the bill unasked. It is also in Diocletian's Palace which is a lovely location.

The best vegan food I’ve had in Split!

Only one vegan main dish, Roasted Root Vegetable & Hummus a vegan version. Then the potatoes and fries! The food was delicious!

Pros: The food was delicious!, Good service

Veg In The Palace

What a great place! This was our first meal after arriving in Split. The courtyard seating area is quite nice and there are a few vegan/vegetarian menu options clearly indicated. We had the vegetarian korma and roasted root veggies with hummus (which was surprisingly flavorful). Several other diners were ordering veg options as well. The staff was also the most friendly and attentive of (probably) anyplace we've been in Europe.

Pros: A few craft beers, Outdoor seating inside the palace walls, Genuinely friendly staff

Filling, very friendly and attentive staff, buzzing atmosphere!

Was struggling to find a vegan option in Split so looked at the veg options and luckily stumbled across Split. The place was almost full (a testament to its quality?). The manager / owner who I believe is called Geoff checked for me to see how long it would be for a table for 1. He then came over to chat whilst I was waiting at a table near the bar, explaining the vegan scene (or lack of it thereof) since the pandemic and was happy to give out recommendations (before and after eating at Fig!) of other restaurants and then what I should get on the menu.

Having travelled from Dubrovnik six hours by bus and not having eaten anything, I wasn't sure how filling a main would be by itself. The menu is very clear on what's vegan, vegetarian and more, in addition to what can be made vegan / veg. Geoff recommended the roasted root vegetables and hummus (asking for no honey), clarified that the portion sizes are not small and that if I wanted a little bit more, he'd make a bigger plate for me!

When seated (before the timeframe given) I was quickly seen to and when I forgot Geoff's helpful advice, he immediately came over and said he would sort the larger plate. And what a plate it was! I'm still stuffed over an hour later after having eaten it. Really tasty and filling! Geoff came over to chat for a bit before leaving me to finish my plate and then gave me my beer on the house because I said it was fine for three people to sit at the table to my left whilst they awaited their main table (a very reasonable request from him and I had no idea of expectation to get the beer for free from agreeing to it, not that many places would have even asked first!).

I'm genuinely considering going again tomorrow evening and would encourage you to go if you have the chance, with meat options for those not on a veg diet!

Price-wise also much cheaper than Dubvrovnik!

Pros: Reasonably priced for how filling and tasty it is, Very attentive service, Good atmosphere

Great little place

We came before 12:45 so we got only breakfast. But still they had two vegan options, one of them was vegan burrito which was excellent! Big portion, friendly stuff, nice atmosphere, all good!!

Absolutely delicious

Fig is located across the Peristyle Square, but somehow I missed it several times walking by. It has a pretty large terrace and a beautiful restaurant inside. The menu lacks a lot of options for vegan food, but boy, what Fig has is absolutely delicious. I had the Roasted Root Vegetables & Hummus, but never really knew how tasty root vegetables could be until this dish. The hummus was delicious, but for me, the taste of it was overshadowed by sauce of root vegetables. You get a big portion, so I was left full for several hours after. As for dessert, I chose the Walnut Cake (not vegan), which looked beautiful and tasted delicious as well. It was a big slice of cake, which for the price (30 kuna) felt like a lie???

The service was great, some of the waitresses were just a little bit too pushy for me. I guess it’s good to check on your customers every once in awhile, but every 7 minutes felt too much for me.

Update: had breakfast the following day at Fig. The vegan breakfast burrito was okay! Bit too sour, spicy and drowned in sauce, but enough to survive until lunch.

Alright for a quick bite

Had a very late lunch outside peak tourist season. I tried the roasted vegetables which was alright, very onion heavy.

What a gem in the heart of Split

Not a tourist trap, but a beautifully located and decorated restaurant with vegan options in the center. Food and drinks are amazing! Staff is really kind too.

Pros: Vegan options, Good cocktails, Coffee with plant based milk

Good service but food wasn't great

Lovely little place and the waiting staff were friendly. Unfortunately the food we got (korma and a side of fries) was very very oily to the point it was unpleasant to eat.

Pros: Lovely restaurant, friendly staff

Cons: Not great food

Small but mighty

As others have pointed out, this location of Fig somewhat lacks in vegan options. However what Fig lacked in choice it definitely made up for in flavour. Although I was only able to find one vegan dinner dish (and a "roasted vegetable" one at that) it did not disappoint. Rich and super filling, I was left very pleasantly surprised. Being in such proximity to all the Split sights (the Diocletian's Palace was next door) it was definitely a treat. But be warned, it operates on a first come first serve basis (at the time of writing this review), so expect a little bit of a wait - though ours was only around 5 mins.

Pros: Good portion , Beautiful location

Cons: Not many vegan options

Pros: Grosse Portionen, Gute Auswahl

Cons: Eher teuer

La excelencia superada

De lo mejor que he probado hasta la fecha, buen servicio y mejor comida, el hummus con verduras a la parrilla lo tuve que pedir sin miel, aunque en la carta aparece como vegano…

Lovely place!

You’ll easy find this restaurant as there’s always a queue waiting for a table. The outside area is located in a small court, it’s very nice.
There are two vegan options on the menu: Indian stew with bread and hummus with grilled veg.
The stew was quite boring but the hummus dish was delicious! Not a must but definitely a good dining spot

Okey for vegans

They’re two vegan options on the menu for dinner, but a lot of it can be adapted to make it vegan. Sometimes I don’t think they understand what you want because I asked them to leave out the honey but they didn’t ( I could still taste it). Ate it anyways ofcourse ! I ordered a hummus plate and It is a huge plate so I would even recommend to share it and maybe order some bread or something with it to make it a meal for two😄If you are not able to finish you can ask for a box and get your leftovers for takeout (Please do this , it is a waste of food otherwise😒)

Super

Not great, pricey

The root veggies were great, but everything else was average to sub par. Vegetable soup was ok, but skip the korma. Expected better taste for the relatively high price.
Service was good, but we still got served the non-vegan tzatziki side which we asked to be excluded from the meal.

Really good food but limited

Really good for breakfast! Can get the California toast (basically guac) on the most amaaaaazing bread with a super fresh salad. The breakfast burrito is really good without eggs or sour cream. They do coffees/iced coffee and usually offer soy milk but hadn’t had their delivery when we were there. Really good service and all staff knowledgeable of the menu. They have a branch in Hvar too with the same menu! We had the curry there which was nice but a bit watery, but again with the amazing bread. And the roast veg and hummus dish don’t be put off it’s actually delicious!!! I thought there’d be nothing to it and I’d be left hungry but it’s sooo tasty. Also got the chimichurri fries but they weren’t that special, and we didn’t need them with the two big mains!

Pros: Big portions, Friendly staff, Really fresh

Cons: Small menu, Limited hours in Hvar branch, Could be a wait

Not great

Not that many vegan options and my curry was pretty ordinary. Strange flavour and texture. I would have liked some rice but it came with bread. Overall I was disappointed. My husband had the pumpkin soup. He liked it but I think I could make better at home.

Pros: Nice venue.

Cons: Not that many vegan options , Food not up to scratch , A bit over priced

Lovely place!

I would say the best place in split for Vegan options, yes there are only a few but that is twice as many as most in Split! Split does not have lots of vegan restaurants and none as delicious as Fig. It's a must try!

Pros: High quality food, good value, good location
