The chicken and pancakes were delicious. The chicken had a tiny kick to it which I really appreciated. The pancakes were nice and fluffy.
The cinnamon rolls were also soooooo good! Huge size and love that they warm it up for you. Possibly the best I’ve ever had! Definitely don’t skip this place 🙂

Update January 2025: Whenever I'm in the neighbourhood, I stop by for takeaway treats. This time were a scrumptious biscoff cookie-sammie, a berry crumble and a PB&J cookie. Delicious!
Read moreOlder review: I really enjoyed the cheeeese burger today, and I brought away a big filled doughnut, the pizza swirl and a cinnamon bun. I've had the good, sweet, chocolate-and-raspberry, cream-filled doughnut and am sure I will enjoy the other two items tomorrow. The café was doing a brisk business at 1:30 pm on a Friday. In later years, I've enjoyed breakfast and other comfort-food meals at Fern.
Coffees, teas, plant milks and WiFi available too.

One of my favorite cafes/bakeries of all time — honestly the fried chicken caesar salad alone is worth a trip to Victoria. And their treats! So incredible. I love their cinnamon rolls, and I've also enjoyed their brownies and fruit bars.

The BEST Vegan Cafe and Bakery! - Edit
When visiting Victoria for a 5 day stay we visited Fern’s twice because it was just so good! We tried the breakfast sandwich, buffalo chicken burger, and the Big Mac daddy burger off the menu and had several of the pastries and cookie! Everything was 10/10!!!! This is a must visit place if you are in Victoria and the cinnamon buns are not to be missed!!!

Went here for some pastries and brunch. I’ll start with the best part, the bakery. Seriously amazing pastries. The croissant and donut were amazing. Really incredible. The food was good, but was a little forgettable. Not the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had and the flavors in the scramble didn’t stand out. The bakery can’t be missed though.

We absolutely love Fern Cafe. We live a bit of a drive away but try to get here as often as possible. The "honey" mustard Chickun crunch Burger is mouthwateringly good. It is a household favourite. The big bad breakfast sandwich is also phenomenal. The fries are fabulous. They know how to make a great Matcha late. Finally their donuts... sooooooo good. Whenever we go I get dinner and lunch for the next day as well as tasty baked goods. I have a bit of a problem with loving this restaurant WAY TOO MUCH. Staff are also very friendly. Thanks for being amazing.

Not even lying when I say that the big bad breakfast sandwich is the best thing I’ve eaten maybe all year. My friends were telling me to stop talking because I wouldn’t shut up about how amazing it was with every bite. Everything we got was delicious. I also think the iced chai latte might be the best one I’ve had too. If I was local, I’d eat here everyday. This place goes hard af. In love.

First time eating at this little gem of a bakery ! I had the breakfast scramble with the traditional tofu and chorizo ! Very flavorful with a hint of spice 😀 Topped it off with a delicious mocha .. my favorite go to coffee beverage ! The vibe was low key and the service very friendly and welcoming ! Will definitely visit again ! Also , kudos to the ginger molasses cookie 😋😋

My favourite place ever - Edit
From the food to the staff to the atmosphere, the whole experience at Fern Cafe is excellent. Cosy indoor seat and super cute outdoor seating in a cute neighbourhood. Different selections everyday of amazing baked goods and pastries and just a stellar menu of food. They had a breakfast sandwich special on when we were there that was incredible so I highly recommend following them on social media to keep up with what they’re up to.
