Lekkere crunchy falafel. Persoonlijk houd ik er van dat mijn broodje voor me gemaakt wordt, bij deze tent krijg je het broodje falafel in je handen gedrukt en mag je zelf kiezen uit talrijke groente en saus opties voor op je broodje. Naambordjes zouden mij handig lijken, met name voor de sausjes. Lekker eten. Prima personeel, niet bijzonder vriendelijk of geduldig. Vandaar 4/5.

My go-to place when I’m in Antwerp - Edit
You’ll never taste better falafel kebabs in your life. The owner is such a delight, always radiant. Food is served pretty past and you’ll definitely not feel starved. I keep recommending this place and always will.

Die Falafel sind ausgesprochen lecker und knusprig. Du befüllst dein Sandwich selbst mit dem Gemüse deiner Wahl. Die Auswahl ist sehr groß und vielseitig. Am Tisch warten dann drei leckere Soßen auf dich, mit denen du dein Sandwich verfeinern kannst.

The Falafel are tasty and crispy. You fill your sandwich yourself with the vegetables of your choice. The choice is very large and varied. Three delicious sauces are waiting for you at the table to refine your sandwich.
We would definitely come back again!

I'm really picky and didn't have too high hopes but this was probably one of the best falafel pitas I had. All the toppings tasted so good, as well as the sauces and fried cauliflower. It cost almost 9 Euro but was well worth it. Portion was big and filling.

My boyfriend raved about Falafel Tof after he stayed with his friend who lives in Antwerp, so I was very excited to come here when we visited together.
Read moreThis is easily the best falafel place I’ve visited. The owner told us he makes his own bread for the falafel, which is a nice extra that not every falafel shop does. The owner is Israeli and asked a bunch of questions about my background after he saw my uncommon Hebrew name. 👀
Being able to add your own fillings to the falafel is a huge perk compared to other falafel shops that do it for you. The selection of salad ingredients is absolutely enormous, and everything here tastes so fresh and tasty. The cauliflower in the salad bar has such a meaty texture. There’s also plenty of pickled things if you love that like I do. I was so eager to try every salad that I added all the things I like (i.e., everything except olives) to my falafel. The owner said my bf and I had to leave the salad bar to not cause an accident with how stuffed our pittas were. 😅😂 Be warned that it’s messy if you overfill it because there’s no cutlery.
I’m definitely coming back here the next time I’m in Antwerp!!! I would eat here all the time if I lived locally.

Na de recensies van HappyCow gister met een positieve gevoel langs gegaan met gezinnetje en direct bij binnenkomst begon de eigenaar asociaal naar mijn man te gebaren omdat zijn mondkapje niet over zijn neus zat, dit kun je ook op een normale manier aangeven, ipv asociaal met je hand naar ons te wijzen en boos te kijken.

They helped me which things are vegan. I had the falafel box with falafel pita, potato wedges and drink. I stuffed my pita and was so full after. I'm a big eater but even I was full. Place itself is a little cold looking

nice falafel but not welcoming - Edit
I thought the falafel was actually pretty good as well as the potato wedges (they were surprisingly really nice). For the quality it feels like a fair price but the atmosphere is very cold. It has the exact same setup as a Maoz down to the menu names and the options at the salad bar but with a quick pressing turnover. Always busy and run by a boss that seems passionate about his food but extremely stressed. It’s not a place I would come back to even if the falafel is pretty good. It kind of feels like a Disney World of falafel. So many people with a weird cafeteria like ambiance and more of a focus on getting you in and out than anything else.

My new favorite falafel - Edit
I'm surprised to hear a previous reviewer complain about the owner, ever time I've gone, he has been very charming and friendly. Regarding the falafel, I wouldn't change a thing. I honestly prefer Falafel Tof to L'as du Falafel in Paris, which tends to do very heavy on the aubergine. I think adding your own fillings is a huge plus, as well as having the mango, tahini, and garlic sauce on the table to add as much as you want. I'm looking forward to my next falafel here.

Great falafel, but incredibly rude owner and lots of food waste - Edit
We have been to Falafel Tof many times, and their falafel are seriously one of the better ones compared to other falafel places in Antwerp. Sadly, however, we have regularly observed how rude the owner is to customers and his own staff. He regularly lashes out at customers, who are perplexed at his bossy attitude when simply asking for instructions upon entering the restaurant, or blaming customers for wrong orders. They use a complicated and confusing system where one first has cue to order at the bar, you then find yourself a table (it can quite busy), eventually you are called to the bar by a waitress to receive your falafel and choose your fillings, and finally you cue once more to pay at the same bar. Confused customers asking for directions should come as no surprise with the bar fulfilling multiple functions.

Lastly, we have noticed that the majority of those customers who order combination meals (e.g. pita with falafel + fries + drink) are unable to finish them, resulting in lots of left-over food which finds its way into the bins right away.

Cons: Rude and bossy owner, Large portions (when ordering combination meals), Food waste due to too large portions
