Vegan restaurants put a food court with lots of other vegan options - Edit
So the amazing thing here did you have a vegan restaurant with an almost vegan coffee shop and other restaurants in the food court with vegan options. You can put it all on the same bill and use a credit card. You can also get alcohol from the bar upstairs on the bill. So they got burgers loaded fries here and also got the vegan taco next door and the cupcake from the coffee shop. We will be back

Food is a little average, I think it's missing seasoning maybe.
Food presentation is nice.
Portion size is good.
I've tried 2 different meals from them.

It used to be better but still alright - Edit
It used to be in a really nice location with a garden but recently has moved to a food court and downsized their menu. Many of the main foods from the menu before have been removed although the burgers and the shawarma are still there. Vegan fish and chips are added to the menu which is tasty but the texture has a room to be improved. The food is still good but I do miss their old menu! The food takes quite a long time even for basic stuff, so make sure you're not in a rush.

Best vegan Choice in Nairobi - Edit
Ethos-Organic Café and Restaurant is a little Oasis in the middle of Westlands/Nairobi. It's 100 % Vegan with a huge choice of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas with the best vegan mozarella ever and a Barista Bar with different plant-based milks without extra-charge! Also the French pastries are vegan!!! Absolutely recommendable! Thanks Ethos!!!

Very good burgers - Edit
It's very good and the mock meat is confounding. (This is to please meat eaters in a carnivorous city)
Read moreIt's part of a nice food court with a bar, with both outdoor or indoor seating, where they serve alcohol for people who want to drink with their vegan meal.
Pros: Taste, Mock meat to please non-vegans, Pleasant environment

A small gem in a big city ! - Edit
Ethos is proudly flying the green flag in a majority meat eating city, no easy feat. Ate lunch today and spoke with the owner, wait staff and chef, incredibly friendly and the food even better. If you’re in Nairobi give this a try !

Converted this non-burger person to burgers - Edit
Now, I'm not normally one for a burger. But somehow I ended up ordering the Kama Kuku, mainly because I couldn't decide among all the other options. And it was fantastic. Crisply breaded, firm-textured, and properly flavourful. And not dripping with sauces like you often get. The bun was fresh and light, and the chips crisp and fluffy - the best I have had for a long time. I couldn't resist the chocolate torte, which was rich and very, er, chocolatey, so all in all perhaps not the healthiest choices from the menu, but boy did I enjoy it. I liked the place too - relaxed vibe, games and books on the counters, and a friendly cat.

Great little vegan place - Edit
Food was fantastic especially after finding it difficult to be vegan with much variety. We went for dinner and they even made me a vegan breakfast to go for the plane since most flights don't serve vegan options.

Awesome vegan favorites - Edit
We loved Ethos! I was worried based on the name that it was all health food, but it had awesome variety of some of my favorite comfort foods like pizza and shawarma. It's listed as vegetarian, but that might be out of date - they said everything was 100% plant based / vegan while we were there.

Creative and Delicious - and Entrepreneurial - Edit
This place has vegan food that you cannot get anywhere else in Nairobi. I have had many of their items, including the BLT, Pulled BBQ Sandwich, Shawarma, Tuna Salad, cupcakes, lattes, and others. All of the food is great. In fact, it's one of the only places that I have over-eaten in a long time. They are making an effort to blaze the trail for plant-based dining in Nairobi. Worth checking out.

Fantabidosy Vegan Experience - Edit
Very delicious vegan meals with a good variety for breakfast and lunch/ dinner. Lots of healthy stuff and a very chilleaxed atmosphere. The owners are implementing a sustainable concept, which in my opinion should be the way forward for any business. They let you use the Cafe also as a co-working space. Live events with local artists. Absolutely recommendable, thank you Ethos team for this delicious vegan experience

Cute place, decent food, inattentive staff - Edit
Nicely setup place, was too far to walk in the backstreets from Westgate/Sarit though, get an Uber or Bolt instead.
Read moreI had a BLT on ciabatta, pictured. It was never ciabatta, and featured rogue cucumbers, but was quite pleasant. I had a berry smoothie which was a bit bitter but I still enjoyed it. I would have had a hotdog too if the staff had bothered to return to me. So I took home a vegan cashew croissant instead, which looked exactly like a croissant, but was really salty and odd.
Service was highly inattentive. After finishing I sat at my table ten minutes waiting to be served, whilst within clear view of me the three wait staff for the three customer tables that were occupied chatted amongst themselves instead of paying the least bit of attention to me or their other two customers. For the very high prices charged here, service should be far better than this.
Presentation wasn't up to much either, as you see in the photo. For the money they ask, I much prefer Shokupan's exquisite presentation and excellent service, and being in Sarit Centre it's not a field trip through the suburbs either.
Bakery bread prices were outrageous, double the prices in Artcaffe and Shokupan - which themselves are triple the local price. You could allow a small premium for being organic, but not that.
And yet I think it's worth 4* not 3*. I might try again next time I'm in Nairobi. But the prices have already risen since the menu prices in the gallery here, so if they'd hiked them again when I returned I'd just leave.

My favourite place with (almost) everything vegan - Edit
It's in the Westlands Area not far from Westgate Mall. It's such a nice location, with a café corner (all vegan) and the restaurant itself. Open Kitchen, lots of pastries 🍰, bread from the german bakehouse and many (main) vegan dishes. I was here for a few months and almost tried the whole menue. Loved everything and I'm thankful for a place which is becoming completely vegan. Something to support when you are here! Very surprised about how good the vegan cheese was 😲 Also no extra charge for plantbased milk. Prices are similar to Germany I would say 🥰 staff was very friendly and welcoming 🙏🏻
