Delicious - Edit
Was struggling to find vegan options while in Nagoya for a couple nights and came across this - was really delicious. The vegan plate comes with poppadom, different rices and small portions of different vegan curries. Highly recommend.

Nice but single option and small portion - Edit
Happy to find something here in Nagoya, even if it is only 1 option. It’s a try of mini curries with rice in the middle. I finished it pretty fast, didn’t feel I was rushing but my stomach was unfulfilled.

Decent Indian close to Nagoya Shinkansen station - Edit
Menu with a number of options labelled vegetarian, but the menu indicates a number of vegetarian options can be made vegan for a small fee. We spoke to an Indian living here in Nagoya who spoke highly of the food.

Limited vegan options - Edit
I’ve dined at many South Indian restaurants, and South Indian is my favorite cuisine.
Read moreWhen I dined at this location, I was really tempted to try a masala dosa, but I was told that there’s only one vegan option which was not dosa.
The veg meal was ok, but not really authentic, it lacked the punch I expected from an Indian restaurant.

Delicious Indian curry near Nagoya station🇮🇳 - Edit
A waiter knows what “vegan” is, so tell them that you are vegan when you are ordering. ☺️ ( There’s no vegan mark on their menu, only vegetarian mark. )

Good alternative when the vegan restaurants are closed - Edit
A nice place with friendly staff. They have several vegan options including the lunch Thali (but be sure to substitute the raita for salad to make it vegan). I also got the carrot lape, which had a nice flavor to it.
Read moreThey also have three dosas that are vegan: I got the mysore dosa and like it just fine.
Pros: Vegan options, Convenient to Nagoya Train Station

Decent enough - Edit
I had the vegetarian meal/miles (the one with the many small bowls on a round tray from other review photos). It was fine, but nothing special. Another time, I would probably try the vegetable thali or just a curry or biryani. The place is definitely not something to make a trip for, but a good option if you're in the area and just need something decent to eat. There was no queue and service was fast.

Tasty curry and quick service - Edit
- Great tasting and authentic curry. The night I was there, there were multiple large Indian families eating there too which is always a good sign that it's the real deal.
Read more- The set came out fast and was open late (11pm) the staff kindly advised everyone of any last orders at 10pm.
- Even though the curry bowls look really small, by the time you've finished the set you're definitely satisfied.
Pros: Tasty, Open late
Cons: Rice portion is small (ask for more), Vegan option costs more than vegetarian

Safe vegan dinner option - Edit
We've been disappointed at the lack of vegan dinner possibilities in Nagoya. This place is a great steady option. The vegan plate is listed on the menu as "vegan" so you don't have to worry about misunderstandings. (You usually can't count on this in other Indian restaurants.)

Good Masala Dosa - Edit
The curry here is OK, although not especially spicy. I really like the Masala Dosa (available only at dinnertime). Also, it's nice to have a South Indian food option near Nagoya station.

For all of the travelers coming through Nagoya Station - Edit
Don't waste your time here. We live 5 minutes from here, and we have eaten here once. Although the food is good, it' not memorable. If you're at Nagoya Station, try Soranoiro at Midland Square or Coco Ichibanya in the Sun Road mall. I appreciate that Erick Curry has vegetarian options, but they just aren't that tasty.

Good place for Indian food - Edit
I had a dish which is mentioned as vegetarian on the menu but can easily be made vegan. I got a selection of curries, vegetables and salads with rice and a papadum for 1450 yen. They served the food very quickly and it tasted very good.

Convenient - Edit
Nagoya has a problem for vegans. Many restaurants are only open for lunch and/or require prior reservation. The places that are left for dinner, are often the restaurants that also serve meat. Erick Curry is one of them. It's easy to find and conveniently located near Nagoya station. I looks decent enough, but it isn't the place to spend an evening. One visits Erick Curry for a quick bite and then continues the evening.
Read moreThe menu has green dots marking vegetarian options. The waiter didn't understand the word "vegan", but quickly a second waiter came to the rescue and he did understand the difference between "vegetarian" and "vegan". Apparently some vegetarian dishes can be made vegan, so I simply ordered "whatever is big and vegan". This means a plate of curry and rice, regrettably none of the signature South Indian (dosa) dishes are vegan.
My plate of curries and rice was of average quality. It contained for 4 types of curry, a tiny salad, a few vegetables and some coconut milk (instead of yogurt). Rice will be replenished for free. Considering the price of 1500 yen, this is not a bad deal.
Pros: easy to find, fair price, fair quality food
Cons: also serves meat

Nice curry - Edit
A pretty nice restaurant in the basement of a building attatched to Nagoya station. There were a couple of vegetable curries that they said were dairy-free, so probably vegan. Tasted really good!

Good experience! - Edit
I was excited to discover what seems to be a fairly authentic South Indian food restaurant in Nagoya! The food was good and not too pricey. Atmosphere is okay for a shopping center restaurant area. The set I ordered had several dishes that were spicier than a lot of food I've found in Japan. Overall it was a good experience and I plan to go again!
