Est. 2006, the idea for this cafe grew from a desire to provide work opportunities for deaf and disabled people as well as a hang-out for deaf students. Today, the cafe stands as a model for an inclusive working environment within the local community, providing employment for ten people and raising funds for the work of Epic Arts. Vegan dishes include muesli, porridge, toastie, Moroccan egg plant rolls, cous cous, curry. Has soy milk for drinks. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-6:00pm.

Great cause, great food, lovely people - Edit
Everything is said in the title! Food was so good that we came twice during our short trip to Kampot. It’s a really good thing to be able to support such a beautiful cause by eating tasty food! Lots of vegetarian choices and few vegan options. Don’t hesitate, go there, you won’t regret!

I'd give it five if it were veg - Edit
Inspiring mission. Lovely staff and good range of food on the menu. Everything is marked and as other reviewers have mentioned, you indicate 'vegan' on the order form. I enjoyed a pot of tea and tofu filled sushi roll. Plunger coffee was also nice. Great range of handicrafts for purchase upstairs and good for people watching.

support a good cause! - Edit
The menu has a few vegan options and lots of vegetarian options. You get a tick sheet order form which has a tick box to specify if you are vegan which we did. Unfortunately our tofu amok curry arrived with egg in. If you go and are vegan maybe write vegan next to the dish you order aswell as a tick in the box. Food was tasty and clearly freshly made. They make cakes, cookies and bread all on site. (Altough i don't think the bread is vegan).

The best food for a worthy cause, must go! - Edit
Beautiful chilled environment, lovely service, and wifi or shop while you wait! I went again and again for lunch here, almost tried everything on the menu (and from the cake cabinet) and loved everything!
Read moreThere are options for vegan, vegetarian and meat lovers, breakfast and lunch, coffee is great too! Definitely have to recommend the bruschetta if you want something western, or the amok if you're after the local cuisine, and you won't be left still hungry, the portions are extremely generous!
A must visit cafe!
Pros: excellent food, super friendly staff, chilled envrionment

Lovely place and really kind staff. Loads of vegan options (and as you order a box to tick to say to make it all vegan). Great social enterprise.

Lots of vegan options and big portions! - Edit
I loved this cafe so much! I came here probably 4 times total in my stay in Kampot. The menu tells you what is vegan, however they can make anything that is vegetarian on the menu also vegan! My favourites were the panini and bagel. The panini was so flavourful and had an amazing size salad. The bagel was so packed full with veggies you couldn't eat it like a sandwich. Everything was so flavourful and the portions were great. Also they will do vegan milk in a coffee or tea for you. Can't speak highly enough of this place.

nice place, good cause - Edit
Very nice place to sit and eat with positive vibes and supporting people with disabilities. They indicate on the menu what's vegan but there are very few vegan options unfortunately (out of the 20 main courses only one - eggplant rolls - which still came with yoghurt on the side. Would have been nice to have vegan alternative dip). The one vegan desert unfortunately was finished.

Inspiring menu and concept - Edit
There are LOADS of veggie things on the menu here.... and they are delicious and creative. As a long term veggie it is always exciting to find somewhere that serves things you haven't had before and puts as much emphasis on the vegetarian dishes as the rest of the menu. It is also such a wonderful organisation, supporting young Cambodians with disabilities. As some of the staff are hearing impaired you order using a menu sheet. They also make great juices if you are on a health kick. We were staying in Kep, but visited Kampot twice and lunched here on both occasions ... I would go as far as saying they served one of the yummiest salads I've had which included watercress, fresh grated coconut, red peppers and mango. I wish there was somewhere like this back home!

Loved it - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised here, in multiple ways.
Read more1. They have soy milk for coffee! This is a rarity in southeast Asia.
2. You can mark "vegan" on the ordering sheet, and they'll make sure anything you failed to ask about is taken care of to make your meal vegan.
3. The "hummus & olive bagel" turned out to be much more than I'd thought I was receiving. I expected just hummus & olives on a bagel. It came with all kinds of fresh vegetables, which was great. It was more like a filling sandwich, and I loved it.
The staff are super friendly, the space is great, and you're supporting a good cause. I loved it!
Pros: Friendly, Labels vegan items clearly, Soy milk for coffee!
Cons: Serves meat

A MUST - Edit
If you find yourself in Kampot, you MUST stop in to Epic Arts. I went here for almost every meal in my 3 days in the sleepy little waterside town. Wonderful staff and a great experience communicating with these incredibly hard-working deaf people. The menu is great! Wonderful prices and lots of veg options, awesome desserts too. Even have a shop where you can buy things handmade from local art students!

few but good vegan dishes :) - Edit
Lovely little cafe in kampot! Serves only a few vegan dishes... But all of them are well worth it! From paninis, humous, cous cous salads and yummy olive bagals! All staff are either death or disabled but ordering food is simple via the tick off menu. Ordering a dish without cheese etc was fairly easy, just jot it down next to the dish :) great organisation and good quality food!
