Cozy place, mostly vegetarian but some vegan options and according to the waiter the majority could be made vegan upon request. Generous plates. Including vegan cake for dessert.
Read moreUpdate 1,5 years later. The place has survived the pandemic crisis and I’m happy for them. We came back and ate dinner. The food is good. Still not many vegan options, I think from 6-7 first courses only one was vegan, but they are happy to substitute and used to vegan customers.

Great selection of vegan options, today the didn’t have vegan dessert, so I got vegan cappuccino instead. We tried virgin mojito as well and it was delicious.

The first time I went, nothing convinced me. After a few opportunities, I sometimes pass by, especially because in Puerto de la Cruz there are no more places where you can eat vegetarian or vegan. The best, the sandwiches. You have to ask about vegan options.

La primera vez que fui no me convenció nada. Después de algunas oportunidades, alguna vez paso por allí, sobretodo porque en el Puerto no hay más sitios donde se pueda comer vegetariano o vegano. Lo mejor, los bocadillos. Hay que preguntar por las opciones veganas.

Hemos ido en varias ocasiones a comer/cenar y la impresión siempre es la misma. Decepción.

La comida es poco elaborada, de sabores insípidos.
Es la última opción cuando necesitas comer en el Puerto y no hay nada más abierto.

Pedimos unos nuggets y croquetas que eran pura masa de harina. La hanburgesa canaria no estaba mal, aunque se repite mucho, el bocadillo canario de lo mejor que comimos. Al producto le falta calidad, muchos ingredientes de paquete

This is a nice setting with friendly staff, but the food is a real let down. Despite the menu clearly showing allergens, our food came with cheese when it said no dairy. It was very basic and bland - we left most of it. The juices were good.

Good food and drink, but ask about prize - Edit
We took "hamburger with everything" (burger with avocado, pineapple, vegan majones etc. and fries). We had to say we wanted it Vegan, uneless it would have consisted of egg and milk. I also took "Detoxifying: pineapple, lemon, cucumber, orange and chia" to drink. It tasted healthy, but good. My mum didn't like it, but thats a matter of taste. The next time we ordered. We should have paid 10.50 euros, but had to pay 15.50 euros. So ask about how much it cost since they don't take the same price on the menu. It could be because they had to veganize it, but then it should have been writen on the menu, or they should have said it.

Very nice, fast and helpful service! Many items on the menu contain dairy but still it is very easy to find vegan options (Starters, Main and Desserts). Also the staff is really nice and helpful and we were asked in the beginning if we were vegan and the waitress pointed out that one meal we picked out was not vegan and so we could change the order.

We went for menu of the day which was good value, tasted ok, especially apple cake was nice. I would go back if I could to try some of the things from regular menu. I like the fresh airy decor. Menu felt very dairy heavy for my liking, most things had cheese in them.

While in Puerto Cruz my boyfriend and I went four times to El Limón! Two for a drink and cake, the other two for dinner. In one of our dinners it happened they still had a Menú del Día left so we went for it and some snacks not included in the menu. It was perfect!
Read moreThe menu is unexpensive and includs a soup, a main dish, a dessert and the juice of the day. Main dish in our case was a delicious quinoa with salad (see pic).
Smoothies are wow. And cakes (almost all of them) vegan. They also have yummy crème caramel (vegan and veggie). And mousse au chocolat.
Stuff is very nice.

El Límon bietet eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Speisen. Die Karte gibt’s neben spanisch auch auf englisch und deutsch. Außerdem sind hier alle Allergene ausgewiesen, sodass trotz der fehlenden Vegan-Kennzeichnung schnell ersichtlich ist, welches Gericht vegan ist. Hier hilft jedoch auch die freundliche Bedienung gern weiter. Die traditionellen papas con mojo sind hier genauso lecker wie die Kombi-Gerichte mit Tofu, Seitan und Tempeh. Die frischen Smoothies sind eine gute Ergänzung.

Nice little spot in central Puerto for a spot of lunch in the sun. Friendly staff and a big menu, which they'll happily adapt for your preferences. (Made my quesadilla vegan)

We enjoyed everything we had - especially their mojo sauce - but probably wouldn't rush back.

Having been there a few days before, we knew what we wanted to order. The warm salad was really tasty - light, yet filling and proteinatious with the tofu. Earthy, red wine to accompany. Reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
