Pretty good - Edit
They didn’t have the Al pastor or the shrimp when we went. We had the chips and queso as well as one of the bowls. It was pretty good.

Bland burritos, good nachos - Edit
Burritos didn’t really taste of much whether the Seitan or the impossible ones. Nachos were good though their app wouldn’t let us order them for some reason so we had to go to the bar (no big deal just a bit of friction).

good tacos - Edit
Great stop near Pike Place! I was pleasantly surprised with the shrimp taco. I've had a few other shrimp alternatives that just did not taste good at all but these were great! Also had the seitan barbacoa taco and the chipotle potato taco which were both very good. Overall had a great time here during happy hour. Service was friendly, location was good and the sun was shining on a beautiful spring day. The salsa fridge was also awesome! Great salsas

Weird place 🌮: You need a passport (!) to enter - Edit
Excellent 'fast' food but of high quality. Very friendly staff. In middle of town. Larger inside than it seems, probably 40 seats, another maybe 12 or so swats outside. Nachos can be loaded w/ jackfruit, 'shrimp' etc. Really much better quality than usual. On the third day (!) of beautiful service and 'thanks for your continued support', we were not allowed to enter any more because our official German ID (the most official ID in Europe) all of a sudden was not allowed any more but we needed a passport (!) which was in the hotel locker. Abolutely weird and inexplicably rude.

I wanted to love this place… - Edit
Despite all the bad reviews I wanted to believe. The pros are that they have a lovely sweet friendly bartender, so eager to please and personable and the drinks are okay. And they are vegan!! The female staff who greeted us, I don’t know if she is the owner was not as helpful or friendly. Bad night? We ordered salsa at an extra cost and then when it didn’t come we asked her about it and she pointed to the salsa bar and said there it is and walked rapidly away….It is a different salsa that is fresh made that we ordered and paid extra for and we had to go to the bartender to ask about it and he was extremely apologetic and got it ASAP. The nachos seem to have nothing fresh on them, they were OK, I love getting things that you know are vegan at a vegan place but just not great.

Best vegan Mexican food around - Edit
My wife and I have been in Seattle for three days and have gone here twice already. The food is amazing. Large portions and very tasty. The hot sauce variety has something for everyone (mild to very spicy) and their cocktails are on point. We got the tamarind marg and hibiscus marg. *chefs kiss. We’re here for two whole weeks and I’m already thinking about how many more times we can come here before we leave Seattle.

Cons: 21+ over only which must hinder business slightly, But you can still order Togo which you should!

Used to frequent the Tacoma location for their nachos and burritos so I was excited to try the Pike Place location for the first time on 12/11/21. Just as good! I love that they reopened as fully plant based!

Delicious vegan tacos - Edit

I love that it's a stand alone yet very close to Pike Place so very easy to do your touristy things and then have a nice sit down meal without having to look for seating.
I ordered 3 tacos and the horchata. The tacos were jackfruit cochinitas, seitan barbacoa, and tajin shrymp.
My favorite was definitely the tajin shrymp. Very well seasoned and the texture was on point. I personally think it's better seasoned than the regular shrimp tacos I've had in the past. It would really take it to the next level if they put a little bit of char on it.
I didn't like the horchata here very much because it's not as thick and creamy as I personally like. A bit more watery, but it was definitely loaded with cinnamon. If you've never had horchata before, it tastes similar to cinnamon toast crunch cereal milk after you've eaten the cereal but better.

Vegan shrimp! - Edit
I recently saw a post with vegan shrimp and it sounded good, then went here not knowing they have it! I haven’t had shrimp in probably 5 years.
Read moreI had a “shrymp” bowl and was surprised how good it was. My mom and cousin liked it too, it’s actually got a pretty similar rubbery texture. The bowl didn’t look very big but it was certainly filling.
I need to try the nachos next time!
Only con was the amount of people walking by saying “ew, what is plant based” :/

Not allowed in - Edit
I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately wasn't allowed it. I got there for 11am as this was stated on Happy Cow as an opening time. Found out it is 12. Fine, I was very hungry and was considering to go elsewhere but decided to wait for them to open. Once they opened I was asked for proof of vaccinations and an ID. I was told they need the ID to match it with vaccinations? I am not American. I work as a cabin crew, based in th UK. I only had a copy of my passport. I never carry the original as obviously, I cannot risk losing it. The staff didn't seem to care or even try to understand. I am fully vaccinated and I had the proof. I felt very unwelcome. Went to the Veggie Grill instead where the staffis always friendly and welcoming.

Kudos to a wholly plant-based venue! Awesome flavors and quality and we Ol folks even navigated the QR code ordering.
Read moreI tried the three tacos that were GF and would say skip the faux shrimp - we’ve had better alternatives (like hearts of palm) the Al Pastor taco was very good, the tofu chorizo almost as good. My partner had the Chipotle potato bowl and was impressed! I don’t think that was GF but it sure looked good! Next time I’d order black beans, rice, guacamole and one taco. Woo hoo GO PLANTS!
Pros: All plant based! Everything , Mexican without dairy cheese, yeah!, Dynamic location at lively pikes place mkt

Good service, decent food, all vegan - Edit
We got the soyrizo, egg, and potato shorty, chips and salsa, and 3 tacos (chipotle potato, seitan barbacoa, impossible burg'r). The shorty was mostly potato, but still decent. The impossible taco had good seasoning though. Chips were also pretty good. Staff was friendly, and food was delivered quickly. Prices aren't too bad, it's about $4-5 for a taco, or $13 for a burrito. All vegan though!
