Womp Womp Womp - Edit
I’m a takeout grrrl + I hit this place for a burrito prolly half a dozen times over the last few years + the guy who made them always came outta the kitchen + presented it to my partner like a gift. V cool. Then around springtime, it seemed like half the menu was always outta stock + I fully expected them to close. Obvs they didn’t, but the vibe changed + the menu got smaller. No more escabeche. No more red chili sauce. But they did add a “gabacho af soft taco” + the pic is like 75% iceberg lettuce + idk if they’re trolling tourists or what, but it’s cringe. I see ppl praising their house-made chips, but their takeout menu says they serve Juanita’s. Against my better judgement, I decided to try the papas y poblanos burrito + it was understuffed + underseasoned + mostly rice + some bits were dried out + hard. I’m out.

Pretty good! - Edit
This was my second visit to El Borracho, and this visit was better than the first. The food was great both times, but our service was wasn't ideal the first time. This time, everything went smoothly, the food was tasty, and we really enjoyed our visit. Sure, it's a little pricey because of the location, but that's what you get if you're in such a touristy area. I'm glad it's there and would happily return.

Had the barbacoa taco which was amazing. I had the salmon taco which I did not like because it tasted so much like salmon. I couldn’t believe how fishy it was. Also not a good place to take kids they have no high chairs. You can only order alcohol if you are seated in the 21 and older area.

Meh food - Edit
Good location but food just average (if that) and pricey for what you get. The ordering is weird and the atmosphere odd- not cool dive bar kind of odd, just odd.
Read moreBathroom is an all use, there is only one and it’s right, I mean right next to tables- watch your step going in and the toilet is one step in.

Bar that reluctantly serves food - Edit
The food was okay; good ingredients tossed together a bit sloppily (for example, burrito was not folded closed and leaked from ends, and one half was all beans while the other half had all the other stuff). The price definitely reflects the downtown location, it’s not a good value.
Read moreThe major downside is the environment if you’re just coming for food. This place wants to be a dive bar not a restaurant. There are many strange rules that make it difficult to order food and enjoy a meal, such as kids only allowed in one small area, must order through your phone with no help from staff, very rude staff who only want to serve drinks at bar. Bad music is blasting and they only have disposable plates/etc.
Sadly I don’t recommend coming here unless everyone in your party is 21 and looking to order drinks.
Pros: All vegan, Location convenient for tourists, Has bathroom
Cons: Unpleasant atmosphere , Expensive per amount/quality of food

Convenient location but food is average - Edit
You find yourself a table and then have to order food via the QR code. While that's an efficient system, my food took 30 minutes to arrive. And I suspect that's only because I followed up with the staff. The jackfruit bowl I had was decent - the black beans were very good but the jackfruit was a bit underwhelming. Convenient location and it's great to see an all vegan place but I wouldn't eat here again.

Convenient and Delicious - Edit
Great spot to get some good, guaranteed vegan food on the market! It was my first time having vegan salmon and I cannot believe how similar it tastes to the real thing. My head is still spinning from how good that rice bowl was. The chips are also homemade and delicious! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

$7 dollar taco?!?!?? - Edit
$7 dollars for a single taco is crazy. That being said, just get a burrito or a bowl! It’s solid food, everything is 0 plant based, and it’s situated right by pikes place so I can see this being amazing for tourists.

Excellent food - Edit
Everything here is vegan - we went with two non-vegan friends and they said their food was excellent. My husband and I split the nachos with barbacoa on top (made from fermented soy). Our friends had burritos - one with salmon made from chickpeas and seaweed. They both agreed it really tasted like salmon.

Good location - Edit
This place has a great location, and friendly staff. But the tacos were overpriced, 7.50 for one taco (I had the jackfruit), and I didn't think it was too flavourful and in my opinion the texture of the jackfruit was overly combined (kind of mushed together). Although we did also order chips and guacamole and the guacamole and salsa was good. There were also other salsas and hot sauce you could grab from the fridge. My friend ordered the burrito and really enjoyed it. So maybe I just chose wrong!

I love supporting fully vegan spots. I really wanted to try the nachos (they look incredible) however they were $27 😵💫

Wtf, that's gotta be a mistake. The nachos are $17.25 on the online takeout menu.

Fantastic Mexican Spot - Edit
Excellent fully vegan Mexican restaurant in the iconic Pikes Place Market. It's a great spot to take a seat and grab a drink or a bite when you're exploring downtown. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out quickly.

Nice to have a vegan option in this area, but the food was just ok. We got the salmon bowl and the nachos. Both were decent but not great.

Fun dive bar atmosphere. Had a delicious tamarindo margarita (or two). Enjoyed the nachos and a bean and rice burrito split between two of us. More than enough food.

Mediocre - Edit
Love to support all vegan restaurants but this place is just not that good anymore. We ordered two bowls and the flavors were meh, and never had restaurant refried beans that needed salt till today. Tasted like it was prepared in a central kitchen and reassembled here - not like it was made fresh that day. Maybe it wasn’t but that was how it tasted. They seem much more interested in their bar/alcohol sales. Bottom line and sad to say, food is likely to be better at a regular Mexican restaurant that has some vegan options than a meal here if it is like ours was today.

Not “drunk” enough for five - Edit
Neat vegan restaurant, only one by Pike Place. Finding good parking for this restaurant is truly nightmare, and I simply wanted to go to Pike Market for this restaurant along other small things at the Pike. The nacho was pretty good, a bit bigger than the size of my stomach. Can’t say for their Al Pastor taco, which was nothing to bring home for. Would have been nice if the payment had Apple Pay or the sort instead of making us fill out personal information. Definitely my choice of restaurant if I ever come back to the Pike. Worth checking in.

Good food. Great service. - Edit
My flight into Seattle was delayed and I walked in 10 minutes before closing. The staff didn’t sweat it and made me a burrito to go. Got back to the hotel and knew I was coming back as soon as I bit into it. Will definitely be on my list whenever I’m in town.

“Salmon” Tacos? - Edit
Unassuming bar and restaurant located near Pikes Place market. We tried 3 of their tacos: the poblanos taco (Have never seen potatoes on a taco before), the oyster mushroom Al pastor, and what we think was labeled as a vegan salmon taco, although that doesn’t seem to be listed on their current menu so we might be mistaken. Two of the tacos were okay, nothing spectacular, but one was really good. We think it was the mystery/evasive possibly called “salmon” taco?

Great vegan junk food - Edit
We ordered the nachos platter with barbacoa chunk steak and it was some of the best nachos I've ever had! All the toppings were amazing and the chips were warm and crispy. We got an horchata which was delicious and not too sweet. We also ordered a cheesy bean and rice burrito which was decent but definitely not as good as the nachos.
