Unfriendly counter staff :( - Edit
A little bit of a disappointing return to Sri Thanu vegan dining today. It's a good menu and nice ambience in Eat Co, but lacking warm welcome from counter staff (I noticed this back in June also). I went to the counter to ask if the chocolates were made with raw cacao. The staff member said, 'I can't tell you'. I then asked if she could ask someone in the kitchen, 'I can't tell you' was the reply again, without enthusiasm to be friendly. That's all that she said in the conversation. I appreciate that not all people are fluent English speakers, but friendliness has been a lovely feature of veggie / vegan culture to date.. Let's hope vegan food hasn't got so cool now that staff can’t smile, say hello and give a friendly service.

Food is ok, staff is not - Edit
Food was normal, not amazing. The atmosphere was unpleasant. The cashier was acting strange and rude. Don't want to come back again.

Yes I had the same experience today. Doesn't really make me want to go back. Can someone ask the staff to be friendlier please - or they will lose customers!

Falafel burger not good - Edit
I was really looking forward to eating here after reading glowing reviews, so tried the falafel burger and must say I was rather disappointed. Nothing in particular was bad about it; it just wasn't good. The patty was quite bitter from being overfried and the inside was a bit raw in places (raw chickpea flour has a terrible taste).
Read moreMy partner had a mushroom burger though and she said it was excellent, but I didn't try it myself.
Overpriced in my opinion.

Everyone in our family of six loved it. Fast service despite being busy. Entire menu is good. Sandwiches very large. They have Beyond Meat's Beyond Burger and Beyond Sausage but the menu is very diverse and has something for everyone.
Read moreSmoothies are great. Meaty mushrooms are great. Veggie burgers, bowls, waffles, soups.. Everything is great. We had two dinners at this location and we would have returned again and again.

Fabulous Food! - Edit
I have been visiting this restaurant for a few years and it literally never fails to amaze me. Every dish I have got here is absolutely fantastic!
Read moreI love the breakfast choices especially the smoothie bowls. The evening meals are just as good. On my most recent visit I took my boyfriend who is not vegan and we got the falafel burger and beetroot burger and we both loved both burgers.
The desserts are outstanding! They are all gluten-free and made in-house. Try the snickers cake it is a dream!
Food is beyond fabulous and this has to be one of my favourite restaurants in the whole world. I am so lucky that I live near here!

Unfortunately - Edit
Usually I write only good reviews and if food was just ok I don't write anything. But this time Food really dissapointed me.
Read moreThe atmosphere and place is nice and after reading so much good reviews we thought we will have tasty meal.
Unfortunately, but food was not tasty at all.
I took falafel plate, my friend - falafel burger. Falafel itself was nothing special and had a little bit strange taste to it. Falafel plate came with 5 falafels, salad leaves, 2 types of hummus, tzatziki and pita bread. Hummus and tzatziki tasted like pure vinegar. I don't like to leave food on the plate, but I really shouldn't have eaten hummus and tzatziki this time, cause it wasn't just untasty, but my stomach felt weird for the rest of the day after this meal. I liked only GF pita bread and salad leaves from the plate.
Burger was a bit better, but not much.
Since this place is very pricey, I must say it's definitely not worth the price, at least these two dishes from the menu.
Maybe it was just a bad luck, maybe we chose poorely, but it is what it is. Just sharing our experience.
Pros: Nice vibe
Cons: Untasty falafel plate and burger., Pricey

The food is ok, not as good as other places in town, but is more expensive than I think is necessary. They have epic shakes and desserts though. I had a burger that was just ok.

Just go there. - Edit
Me and my wife are very big on culinary tourism, where ever we go in the world we always try to find the best vegan options around, so it was clear to us that we will check out a restaurant with such high rating.
Read moreBut no review had prepared us for the amazing experience we had at Eat Co!!
The crown jewel of our dinner(s) was definitely the Kebab, which in lack of other suitable words we'll have to say was absolutely divine. It was so damn good, we literally fought over the last bite.
Another highlight was the Beetroot burger. Super juicy and yummy, comes in a pita pocket with amazing cashew cheese on the side. Enjoyed every bite.
We also had the place's version of Thali, which gives you an option to try out a few of the other dishes such as Dahl and Tziziki and includes the highly praised Kebab :-)
For desert we had a raw Bagsu cake, the Tahini cake and the 3 layer Bomb. The Bagsu was definitely the best one, but we enjoyed the others nonetheless.
In summary, we think Eat Co is one of the best vegan restaurants we've ever been at! We know for sure that we will fantasise over the Kebab and Beetroot burger for a long time after going back home.

Lots of vegan options and all seems really lovely. My friends had two nourish bowls and really enjoyed them, however my other friend had the mushroom burger and it had a bee weird taste to it. Other than that it was all delicious and so hard to choose from their wide variety menu.

And of course the AMAZING choco loco shake and jungle spirit shake, a MUST try!!They have tons of incredible desserts too that would impress any person who is convinced that vegan cakes are boring! Love the food, hate some gift shop items - Edit
They sell very strange and antiscientific items in the gift shop, including colloidal silver (marked as "for STDs" on the label). Colloidal silver has no proven scientific benefit to the human body and buildup of it can cause serious health problems, including a permanent change in skin color.
Read moreI took off a star just for this, as at a time when we need people to become vegan more than ever for the health of the planet, I think things like this scare scientific people off of becoming vegan.
They did have some nice items like a copper drinking water bottle and metal straws.
Moving on to the food, it was excellent. We went twice and tried the watermelon salad, falafel plate, coconut peanut butter bom bom, chocolate cluster (which was a peanut butter cup with thick chocolate on the outside), passion berry tart, and chai.
I wasn't so impressed with the "feta" in the watermelon salad, which was just smashed cotton tofu. The coconut bom bom was to die for if you like coconut- the tastiest shredded coconut I've had in my whole life with a not-too-thick chocolate layer. I went back a second time for another one. The passion berry tart was also epic-it had a custard in the middle and the outside was actually made of passion fruit, not a crust. I haven't seen anything like it.
The shop was pretty and well-decorated.

Nice but a bit pricey - Edit
Food is tasty, healthy, good quality ingredients. Varied fully vegan menu. Nice chilled atmosphere and good music. Comes with a price tag though. You can get as good in the area for half the price. Portions are average sized. There is a good selection of vegan cakes. It’s a nice treat every now and again but wouldn’t eat here often due to the price.

Good vegan food but overpriced... - Edit
Surat Thani has become a vegan restaurant mecca. I have spent a couple of weeks here and eaten at most of the vegan restaurants in order to try and give a fair review to each. Eat Co has a nice atmosphere and the menu has a nice variety of choices. The food is good but not exceptional. Being one of the most expensive vegan restaurants in the town you would think differently. While all of the choices contain the ingredients listed, bread seems to make up the bulk of many of the dishes. The best part of the restaurant's offerings are the numerous and good desserts they have to choose from.

THE place for dessert - Edit
eat co is a good vibes restaurant with a little shop.
Read morethey have a small breakfast menu until 1pm and a big lunch and dinner menu after that. unfortunately they don't make smoothie bowls after 1pm(location at thong sala does).
I wasn't that blown away by their savoury food(not your moneys worth. lots of empty filling with rice and cucumber. I did like the ramen a lot), but the desserts are to die for!!! amazing pies(gluten free), freakshakes and the coconut whipped cream is one of the best.
they also do a good cacao drink.
Pros: fully vegan, amazing desserts, good wifi
Cons: no smoothie bowls after 1pm, most savoury food not worth it, ask you to leave when it's busy and you're finishe
