Great, but inconsistent - Edit
vegan options always available, the RBK is nice and simple (and affordable compared with other campus options). Unfortunately, there's been a few times where the beans were noticeably undercooked, or the kale was overcooked. This has happened a few times in the two years I've been going there somewhat regularly, so it's not too often this happens, but something to be aware of.
Read morePros: RBK is great if you're looking for something simpl, Desserts are almost always really good
Cons: Occasionally sub-par cooking

Great food for vegans on campus - Edit
The food here was good, especially when UMass offered basically nothing vegan in the dining commons. But, the food is often inconsistent😡

Great - Edit
Great food—albeit a bit inconsistent sometimes. Typically, it gets more consistent as the semester goes on. A student co-op worth supporting.

Loved it! - Edit
Being a newbie (1yr) vegan, I went here with no idea what to expect. Their daily specials, rice n beans, kale, and whatnot really hit the spot: both in my stomach and pocket. They always made vegan options accessible, in comparison to what the university has to offer.

Pros: Always vegan options in daily specials, Smalls are huge Larges 2x that (be warned), Price is great
Cons: Only open during the school year , Short business hours (which is understandable)

Awesome student-run establishment - Edit
Nothing fancy here, but simplicity is a virtue. They make one entree and one dessert per day, and they also serve yesterday's offerings at a discount. Their menu varies day to day. Examples from this past week include tofu peanut broccoli stir fry, chili, quesadillas, and roasted root vegetables. Among the desserts were lemon cake, chocolate cake, and cinnamon streusel.
Read moreEverything is vegetarian, and they always have vegan options on offer.
I ate here twice this week and really enjoyed both meals. The chili was hearty and delicious, and the roasted root vegetables were colorful and tasty, as well. They give generous portions, and the prices are really affordable. 7 dollars for a heaping portion or 5 dollars for a standard one... and they give discounts for day-old stuff.
Really great to see such a fun, funky spot that serves up great veggie food. And it's especially cool that it's all student run. This is a UMass institution - definitely stop in if you're nearby.
Pros: Big portions, Student-run, Fresh food

EVERYDAY... if i could... - Edit
I try to go every day that I can... which is not that much, but the sentiment counts! Some examples of their everyday special entree dishes that are vegan (and that I love): sesame noodles, maple tofu stir fry, nori rolls, chana masala, other types of tofu/veg stir fry. They always have vegan dessert, but they do not always have a "special" vegan entree like the ones I just listed... almost every day, though... however, rice/kale/beans is available everyday and it's always fresh and perfect. Writing this review makes me wish I was there now. Come to Massachusetts just for Earthfoods!

Great place! The atmosphere is funky and the food is amazing. Vegan tofu pot pie and tofu peanut broccoli stir fry. The menu as of late has been creative and exciting. Cooperatively run by umass students. An awesome business to support. Source a lot of ingredients locally from the Umass student farm. Friendliest staff around! Open 11-3 mon thru thu 11-2 fri
