We made a special trip before heading home to get some treats but opening hours on the door are from 11am as opposed to the 10am listed on here for a Friday. Gutted, as we can’t hang around any longer 😞

Lots of choice of different doughnuts, cinnamon rolls and pastries. Coffee too but i didnt get a drink. Just the 6 doughnuts. Any 6 for £18. Not bad £ per doughnut. Quite heavy and dense, i prefer a lighter doughnut but they tasted great especially the biscoff custard filling.

Spotted this place of an evening and decided to go back the next day for birthday pastries and coffee. I'm confused as to why they don't just go fully vegan instead of making their drinks with dairy milk? Both times we went in the staff seemed unhappy...

I ordered an iced matcha latte and it was grainy and not that pleasant.
I'd happily go back again though!
Pros: Great range of pastries and sweets treats , All pastries are vegan (I think), Nice Brighton location
Cons: They still offer dairy milk, Not the friendliest staff , Not a great matcha latte

Vegan bakery with dairy milk option on drinks. Called in for a coffee and was so tempted by the wide choice of vegan pastries. Coffee was 5 ⭐️ plus, sweet voices were an almond pastry for me and a 🍩 for my son. Delicious.

We bought three of the doughnuts to go - the Homer and two of the cinnamon roll doughnuts. They were all super delicious, kept well all day and I have no complaints. If I knew they were that good, I would have bought more to take with me for the 5 hour trip.

Down to Earth has a really huge selection of huge doughnuts and buns - the kind of place where it's hard to choose (we vegans don't get to experience that very much in most areas!) I went for the Homer which is a large ring doughnut with bright pink icing and colourful sprinkles, and it really does look like something straight out of the Simpsons. The icing and doughnut were both really good and I'd love to try one of the buns next time.

Had the toffee apple bun, wow it was massive! Cost £3.50 which I think is fine for the size. It was delicious. Everything seemed vegan but I'm not sure if the whole place is fully vegan.

Read moreVery filling dough, so don’t be thinking it’s wafer thin air (hello Greggs) or sweet and squishy (a la Krispy K).
We found the glazed chocolate and cinnamon roll to be more bread like that soft dough. Couldn’t eat the whole thing in one sitting, but the remainder made for a nice snack once home with a cuppa.
For the size of the donuts, I found the prices pretty reasonable. I’ve paid more for a lot less (both in size and quality).
Would like to try a filled donut next time we’re in town!

I stopped by here for a doughnut as they looked INCREDIBLE! They were so big and pretty reasonably priced (av. £3 each). They had lots of options available for vegans, I had the classic jam doughnut, and we also got a “the homer” and a cinnamon bun - they were all delicious! The lady in the shop was super lovely too 😊

The coffee is so good and I adore their donuts. There is also one in hove i used to go to and sit in. Sadly this one you can’t sit in but SO worth going to for the coffee and vegan buns. The staff have always been so nice in both of their shops.
