Supposedly this place was meant to close down but a family saved it after they saw the passion the community had for the branch. This place is incredible, the donughts were doughnuting, 🍩 the vibes were vibing. A beautiful Spring day in Hamilton. Price is very reasonable too!

Donut Monster is a favourite Locke Street haunt, and I was sad to learn they will be closing after a decade in business. Stop by on or before April 20th to have one last vegan donut and maybe grab a t-shirt while you still can. They have a great selection of vegan donuts, baked fresh daily.

Donut Monster Now Staying Open (April 3rd Update) - Hamilton's Best Donut Shop ! - Edit
These lovely people have now found a new owner as of today. (Updated Instagram) Despite V Food Spot (London) and Beechwood Donuts (St. Catherine's), the best Vegan flavour selection is here. They try new ones too like Dill Pickle. Wild!

Delicious donuts with plenty of vegan options to choose from. Lots of unique flavours with signs that were clearly labelled what was vegan friendly. They also had a large coffee menu and plant based milks. Cafe has some seating available for dine in.

Read moreChocolate milkshake is made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, so it tastes very syrupy. It was not good. For the cost they should be using a vegan chocolate ice cream.
Donuts were not good. Apple fritter was edible but very basic with little apple. Maple donut was not good and I couldn’t eat it due to taste & texture.
I do really appreciate places having vegan options, so I suppose if you’re non vegan friends want to come here at least there’s something you can have too.
I’ve tried vegan donuts at 20 places so I do feel like my assessment is fair, although it seems like lots of other people like these donuts.

Delicious! I had been craving donuts for weeks but nowhere near us has any vegan ones. We were recommended Donut Monster by a colleague, and it did not disappoint! We tried 6 different vegan options (of the 7 that they had on offer) and they were all great. My son especially enjoyed the dill pickle one, he said it tasted like a burger.

I’ve bought their vegan donuts numerous times to bring to omni events or work where I’m the only vegan. People always rave about the donuts. I really enjoy them and they are a good sized donut. I love the different flavour change ups too!

We took a box of all their vegan donuts to try home. There were 10 of them (no tax above 6 units). They are delicious so far, a nice sweet flavoured layer on top of a light sweet bread dough. Some flavours, I would have liked to be stronger in taste. Would definitively stop again next time I’m in the area.

The donuts are made from scratch and there is a great selection - about 1/2 of the donuts are vegan. They have changed their selections each time we are there so there is always something new to try.
