Exciting menu, disappointing food - Edit
There’s a lot on the menu that sounds exciting and creative but the food itself is just so disappointing. I went to the restaurant with a group of 15 people and I don’t think anyone really enjoyed the food there…
Read moreI tried the lions mane skewers, which was not too bad, just excessively oily for no reason (it would literally drip onto the plate). I also tried the Hawaiian pizza, which was probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had (my partner and I had 1 slice each and couldn’t touch the rest. The base was so low quality l, the “ham” is so incredibly artificial and so is the cheese, and the sauce was not great at all. The chocolate ferrero roche dessert was also not great and just way too sweet. My friends had some burgers which they couldn’t finish either because they just weren’t good.
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone - too pricey for what it is too.
Cons: Bad quality, bad food, Expensive for what it is

Burger was nice, Pizza a bit disappointing - Edit
The burger was very tasty, while unfortunately the pizza was quite bland. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they took our specific requests into account. The sticky date pudding was also delicious. We wouldn’t order the pizza again, but everything else we had was really enjoyable.

In a slightly random location but absolutely worth heading there as it’s great and very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

I only wish I had gone sooner! Extensive all vegan menu with lovely staff and outside seating area. Large menu covering full breakfasts, Asian, burgers pizza etc... my new favourite vegan restaurant... plenty of parking and convenient location.

Found this place after a long day out in the sun on the Gold Coast - it is a fair drive and in the middle of quite an industrial looking area.
Read moreThe interior is warm and inviting, with lots of honey timber and neon signs with vegan slogans. The pastry cabinet at the counter is full of delicious looking danishes, croissants and raw desserts. The staff were timely and lovely to deal with, asking our preferences on milks and whether we needed share plates when they noticed us sharing dishes.
We sampled the popcorn chicken, the bao buns, okonomiyaki and the works burger. The popcorn chicken was crunchy, not oily and came with a dipping sauce that was perfectly tangy. The bao buns were saucy and full of BBQ pork, the okonomiyaki was a huge portion of smokily charred vegetables and egg with a creamy sauce to balance and the burger, with a soft charcoal bun and “fried egg” was eerily meat like.
Drinks - a chocolate milkshake and chai latte - were also good, and nobody went home hungry!

The food, decor, presentation and service were top notch. Just a shame that this place was almost empty when we visited.
Can’t wait to return even though it’s more than an hour away.

I had a Mushroom Burger and Sticky Date Pudding and they were both delicious! With lots of variety on the menu, I'm sure that you could go many times and enjoy a great selection of dishes.

Just popped in for take-away but will be back. The food was freshly cooked and flavourful. And they had a big range of vegan deserts that weren’t all raw. Danish’s, brownies, sticky date pudding, muffins and more.

After visiting Doko Demo V for the first time today, I almost want to lower my star rating to everywhere else I have eaten haha. The serving sizes were so generous, it was such good value for money, we took so many leftovers home for dinner. The taste was amazing. Owners/staff were really friendly. Atmosphere is very relaxed. We had caramel milkshakes, hawaiian pizza, wedges, "fish" & chips and then choc brownie & sticky date pudding (both with icecream) for dessert. 100% vegan restaurant with such an extensive menu (Burgers, pizzas, asian food, pies, lasagne/pasta, desserts etc). 6 out of 5 and cannot wait to return. Only negative is that we live in Brisbane and Doko Domo V is on the Gold Coast (sad face).

Have eaten here a few times and loved everything we've tried. There is a massive menu which covers a variety of cuisines that are all done well. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. Even though it's in an industrial area, they've made it a beautiful little escape. Love that it's pet friendly too, and most importantly, 100% vegan. Wish we lived closer to come more often and make our way through the huge menu - choosing is hard!

I was blown away by how many options (all vegan) there were at Doko Demo V. I had the Works Burger (the fried “egg” was delicious!) and a Cheeky Monkey milkshake which was sooo nice, and a warmed up blueberry muffin. The place is so cute, the food was well presented, and the staff were lovely, with the food at a good price for the portion sizes. This place is right on my way to university so I will definitely be coming more often to try as many things as possible!
