Really tasty vegan pizza. Small menu but more of a pick-and-choose situation with the toppings. Would recommend and happily go back.

Fantastic craft bar, with clearly labelled vegan food options and an extensive range of vegan beers. Staff are super friendly too.
Read moreI had the “Doggfather” pizza, with added vegan cheese, which was delicious. Even my omni friend enjoyed it.
The coffee was also great and I even treat myself to a lunchtime La Trappe. This is a place I'll definitely be revisiting again.

fantastic place full of personality. pizza is lush 🍕 everything is veggie, and there's a few vegan options too. this place always has some kind of event on.

The interior is really nice, and it’s great that they have vegan options - but they’re limited. I don’t like barbecue sauce so the pizza I ordered was lacking in flavour because I enjoy garlic 🧄 and they have no garlic toppings as an option, and no garlic sauce. Hylton pizza do a great Bolognese plant based pizza and do a garlic base made from dairy free butter as an option. Hopefully the menu can improve with added flavour.

Read moreWe actually do have garlic as a dip option, garlic oil and chopped garlic, and we're not aware of ever being out of stock on these, so really unsure what happened on your visit. Apologies for whatever happened on this occasion.
Just for some added context, we have a limited offer for our food options, mainly because our kitchen space is very small and unfortunately, we do not get a high customer footfall where we are. These things combined, make it difficult for us to justify extending our options whilst keeping our food waste to a minimum and remaining sustainable.

Fresh sourdough vegan pizza 🍕 - Edit
A friend recommended this place and I’m glad I checked it out! I ordered the vegan mozzarella topped with rocket and chilli oil (there are other toppings to add including Seitan and ve pepperoni). Pizza was cooked perfectly. They also do really good vegan garlic bread. The kitchen was about to close as I arrived which I hadn’t seen operating hours anywhere but I was just in time for them to take my order which I appreciated! A good range of independent crafted drinks.

Fantastic craft bar and venue situated in a lovely part of the city. It’s a cool and ethical place. Staff are really friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, there is a real sense of pride in what they do. The beer menu is exceptional. Food is served over a few hours at lunch time and it is well worth a visit then to sample their delicious sourdough pizzas and toasties.

Fabulous newish place in Sunderland’s hip Sunniside area. Primarily a bar, bottle shop and social serving a huge range of vegan friendly beers sourced locally and from further afield. They also have a small kitchen serving pizzas and snacks pretty much all of which can be made as vegan. We ordered a cheesy garlic bread, margherita with seitan chikn and olives and a pepperoni pizza called the “Doggfather”. They were all mighty and full of toppings. Diego’s has become my go to place whenever I’m in Sunderland for a beer and now I know they do food things can only get better.
