Fantastisch!

I enjoyed the dessert!!

We tried a lot of different starters, dishes, drinks and the tiramisu and the puff pastry dessert and these were super good.

Bestes Restaurant

Unfassbar lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr herzlich. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen ♥️

Pros: Extrem gutes Essen, Sehr hübsch eingerichtet , Herzliche und gute Bedienung

Favorite dinner in Berlin

Dervish was the highlight of my trip to Berlin.
From the vibe, to the welcoming reception and, of course, the food.

Everything we had (potato manti, qutab plate, stuffed aubergine) was fantastic and portions were generous.

I'll certainly keep it in mind next time I'm in Berlin!

Note that payment is cash-only!

Uzbek food

Totally agree with the other review title that said "lovely place, ok food". The menu really excited me and the interior and service were nice. But I tried 3 starters, 2 mains and the tiramisu as dessert and nothing really blew me or my friend away. The dishes were between ok and quite good, just not amazing really. Interesting experience nonetheless. Pricey though.

Really amazing and a bit different

It was lovely to visit a restaurant where the food was a little different to most things you find in Berlin. The ambiance was fantastic, the food was brilliant, and the staff were very friendly to boot!

It's not the cheapest restaurant in Berlin, but worth it.

Lovely place, OK food

I'd been wanting to go to Dervish for a long time and yesterday it finally happened.

When I entered the restaurant I was immediately struck by the colorful, cozy and vibrant atmosphere, which was in stark contrast to the dark and rainy weather outside. The waitress led me to my table, which was located in the corner of a slightly elevated platform without chairs and where no shoes were allowed. I took off my shoes, sat down on a cushion and took in my surroundings.

The main colors were light yellow, white and gray. There were carpets with colorful mosaic patterns on the floor as well as on the walls. The walls were also decorated with lots of small framed photographs, depicting what I assume to be Uzbek landmarks, landscape and architecture. The lightbulbs in the ceiling lamps were flickering - creating a lit-candle effect. I really enjoyed the music, which throughout the evening was pretty high tempo, mostly instrumental, middle-eastern-sounding and often with guitar-like instruments. As we were leaving Nissim by The Gaslamp Killer played, which I think exemplifies the music of the evening pretty well. The colors, the mosaic patterns, the music and the lit-candle effect at times almost made me feel like I was in a medieval tavern. I really liked it.

The menu consisted of sides, salads, bread, sauces, a soup, three different mains and a couple of desserts. Notably, they don't serve any alcohol, but rather tea, cold drinks, mocktails and lemonade. The menu was only in English and the staff also spoke English and no German.

We were a group of six and decided to order the Mahalla Set (95€) - five sides, four Qutab breads, 4 Non breads, all salads, all sauces, two mains and 1 liter lemonade - and two additional mains. It was definitely enough food. Everything I tasted - apart from the Non bread, which was kinda meh - was super good. My favorites were the Goulash, the Kovurma and Fried Barak. It was my first time trying Uzbek food and it reminded me a bit of Georgian food.

I could not have wished for a better Uzbek dining experience. Sitting on the floor on colorful cushions in Dervish' cozy atmosphere while sharing delicious food with friends is hard to beat. 5/5!

Upate:

Went again, the hummus starter was disappointing and the potato manti was alright. Still a lovely interior design, but the food could be better.

Veggieboy was pleased

Veggieboy's triumphant return to the world of food critique was... Okay! The food itself was good, although not out of this world.

The atmosphere and the service is what really sells the place though.

Go forth and eat vegan Uzbeki!

Incredible! So lovely!

Beautifully decorated and with lots of unusual options, this is an absolute gem! We particularly loved the aubergine, but it's also fascinating how different even their fried tofu tastes, which feels like something that should be relatively limited in range but gets a different twist here

Amazing experience

Lovely, cozy decor and extraordinarily friendly staff. I have tried two brunch dishes, somsa set (filled puff pastries) and the mung omelette, and both were delicious and beautifully served. For dessert, forish (similar to mille feuille) totally blew us away. Hope to be back very soon!

Definitely coming back

Food was so good, I had a hard time choosing what to eat so I will be back for sure.
Staff was so friendly, the atmosphere in the restaurant so nice, really cozy with the freezing temperatures outside.
We chose one of the floor tables, which was a nice addition to the whole experience!

Would definitely recommend coming here, such a great alternative to the usual vegan vietnamese, burger, ramen option!

Went here for brunch and it was exactly what I needed: savory and wholesome yet healthy!
You can sit on cushions on the floor which imo is sooo comfortable! Way better than chairs.

Pros: Cozy, Wholesome yet healthy, Floor cushions!

Very good food and nice restaurant with nice staff

The food was taste and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant is located in a nice part of the city and you can get there easily by metro or bus and a little walk through a cute city part. The restaurant is also nicely decorated.

You can only pay with cash BUT there is an ATM literally next to the door so that is not a problem.

All food is vegan and they also have very good vegan desserts (which is rare).

We were served very quickly!

Pros: Tasty food and dessert, Nice staff, Nice restaurant place and decorations

Absolutely incredible vegan Uzbek food 🌿🇺🇿

This place is so delicious — I’ve never come across a fully vegan Uzbek restaurant before, and it completely blew me away. We literally ordered almost the entire menu, and every single dish was flavorful, unique, and beautifully prepared. The portions were generous, the presentation was stunning, and the spices were perfectly balanced. It’s rare to find a restaurant that’s both creative and comforting at the same time, but Dervish absolutely nails it. We left completely full and happy. I would 100% come back if I’m ever in the area again — such a gem!

Delicious, but expensive

We were there only for dessert and it was really amazing. They seem to have an amazing vegan menu, but sadly I wasn't able to try it out yet, since the prices are expensive.

Wonderful & extraordinary

Don't get me wrong: I'm happy that there are so many veg* places in Berlin - however, many are of similar cuisine. Thus, I was happy to randomly discover Dervish - I've never come across Uzbek food and wouldn't have expected there to be vegan places to try it.
Long story short: I highly recommend coming here!
The food is great,
Extraordinary and tasty,
The service nice,
And the interior beautiful and cozy!

Pros: Extraordinary cuisine, All vegan, all tasty, Nice staff and cozy place

Delicious

The interior is very cosy and the service is friendly.
There are not many options on the menu but enough to find something suitable.
We had ayran and mango lassi to drink, especially the mango lassi tasted well.
We got a potato manti and two potato qutab as appetisers, and a dervish set as a main dish. This was enough to be shared amongst three.
The manti tasted alright and the qutab were very delicious.
The tofu in the dervish soup in particular had a great texture and taste to it.
