2 veg*n burgers and craft beer

Quick and friendly welcome, we could choose our own table. The order was taken immediately, though it took a while until the food was served.

2 out of 11 burgers are veg*n. I had the Tofoo Fighter, which was deep fried tofu.

For craft beer drinkers: they serve Garage Project and Hop Federation beer.

Accepts credit cards.

Pros: Quick, Craft beer

Tasty enough with some good burger sides....

This is a typical sort of gourmet burger joint which heavily supports animal based options but they do offer two veggie burgers which they will happily vegan-ise. I did that with the 'Billie Green'- I got told that meant swapping out the buns for their vegan equivalent. They make all buns & specialty donuts in-house here.

The burger came out with orange-red coloured buns which was kind of weird but it was a tasty, good sized burger with good ingredients. Nice.

The fact that they charged me two bucks for the vegan buns wasn't so nice. I neither got a rebate for the standard buns they took off, or got those buns (that I paid for) offered or given to me.

Buns are buns guys! That kind of surcharge is a pet peeve.

However.....we also got a great fresh side salad which was asparagus, olives and a good variety of tasty greens.

The popcorn cauliflower & onion rings along with standard french fries are all vegan and were all very good, especially the cauliflower. Try that.

No plant based milk option for a vegan shake is offered - that's disappointing and a lost opportunity for them I think. Burgers, fries & shakes just go together!

For a place that makes really great looking gourmet donuts, a vegan option would be a welcome & popular addition too.

The service was ok and this is a busy burger joint. It's clean and tidy & was playing good retro music when we visited. Fun & OK enough.

Pros: Fresh food & reasonable prices., Good portion sizes.

Cons: The burger bun surcharge wasn't cool., No vegan shake option., Not even 1 vegan donut!

vegan burgers.

Had both vegan options. The satay one tasted delicious but did not look appetizing as was completely beige all the way through. The mushroom patty was very disappointing as was tiny and literally just 2 mushrooms and a bit of salad in a tiny roll. Our meat eating friends enjoyed theirs though. Not worth $15 . Lovely feel to restaurant and staff were great.

We have tried both vegan burgers, both were really good.
