This is a pretty cafe. They do hot food but I was rushed for time so just had a bagel and a beautiful cake which looked like a lemon. The bagel was full of mock meat and salad which was tasty but difficult to eat. The cake was lovely. I got it for half price as it was slightly damaged. Otherwise the cake alone was £10. The cakes they had all looked really beautiful. Food very nice if pricey but this is tourist London

I enjoyed Cream Dream and it’s fair to say my wife really, really enjoyed Cream Dream. We have zero places like this where we live so this was a real treat.
Read moreThe cakes are a clear draw and we really enjoyed ours and drinks too. But the star of the show had to be the small hot dish my wife ordered. Bananas on mashed potato is a dish I think she’s going to dream about for a while to come and easily a reason to return.

I really wanted to love it here. The hot food was quite unique, however the taste was a bit bland. I had the Ukrainian spiced coffee, which sadly I didn’t enjoy at all. The surroundings looked a bit dingy and generally the place didn’t feel very inviting. It was ok, but since it was also quite expensive I wouldn’t return.

Stunning place that has everything, not only gorgeous pastries but also vegan versions of traditional Ukrainian food. I will be back to make sure I try all of them. The portion looked small initially but turned out surprisingly filling so was actually perfect. Add beautiful instagram worthy decor, excellent staff, and supporting refugees and women-owned businesses. If that wasn't enough they play Okean Elzy there.

We came here to try this top rated restaurant. To be honest, it is more just a pastry place. The “hot menu” is a bit hidden.

A big fridge was stored in the pastry place by the seating area and we could look right into the cleaning cabinet during the whole thing.

Read moreJust to share a bit of context: our old fridge broke down, and because it weighs 240kg, we couldn’t just throw it away on the street. By law, we had to wait for the council to collect it, but thankfully our old baby is not there to bother anyone anymore 🙌
Also, what looks like a cleaning cabinet is actually our staircase to the kitchen and also a fire exit. Legally, we can’t hide it behind a door, so we’ve added a pink “Kitchen” sign and some pink curtains to make it a little cuter 🎀
We’re doing our best to work with the space we have while keeping it safe and cozy for everyone 🩷

I enjoyed my visit here, it’s worth a stop if you have a sweet tooth. I agree with others I think it is a little expensive for what you get, although I imagine this is partly down to location. I liked what I ordered but it didn’t blow me away. The dessert selection is beautifully presented, it’s very hard to choose. I didn’t try hot food but it did look good!

But then it is vegan and mostly gluten free. Small cafe. Croissant was cold and hard. Should have been better and better served. 21 USD for 1 tough croissant and a hard to cut piece of cake that is too sweet. Packaging was poor as the box kept opening breaking up the cake. Does not warrant second visit.

Regarding packaging, we use eco-friendly boxes similar to many pastry shops, and typically we never have problems with them, but we appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will review it with our supplier 🙏
Our prices reflect the quality of our ingredients and our commitment to fair labor practices. For instance, our premium chocolate is sourced responsibly from farms with ethical practices and don’t use illegal child labour.
As for the Kyiv Cake, its sweetness is traditional to the recipe, featuring layers of meringue, hazelnut praline, and buttercream, all crafted with natural brown sugar.

Additionally, we avoid using white sugar and can accommodate people with allergies to soy, nuts, gluten, eggs, milk, oats, and more 💖

Pretty in Pink Vegan Cafe - Edit
I've walked past Cream Dream multiple times since I work in the area. I finally went inside and bought a massive almond croissant which was unfortunately very dry, almost stale.
Read moreDespite its strange name, I love the ethos of this cafe. It's a great way to support Ukraine and the refugees who have successfully started a business from scratch. The interiors are stunning, with offerings such as unique drinks, from caffeinated to alcoholic, pastries, cakes, bagels and other snacks. They even have cat stickers and "F**K Putin" wrist bands.
It's a shame I had a bad experience with the food and it's not really fair to rate it off of one item. However, I will definitely be returning and trying some new things in the near future.

I have been to Cream Dream since my previous review and I have decided to increase the rating to four stars.
I really enjoy their chicken bagel and salmon bagel (both meat alternatives, of course). Both are delicious, as are the pastries at the front counter.

However, they’re all freshly delivered to us from Galeta bakery, every morning at 8am.
In cases when we’re not sold out, all croissants go to TooGoodToGo the same evening, so we don’t sell old croissants.
But we will be very happy to see you again for the desserts 💕

Will I return - Yes. To try the lunch menu. Then again for the dinner menu.
