Yummy Ukrainian vegan pastries - Edit
You can’t miss this cute little vegan shop. Everything is basically pink we love the decorations. It was really done up nicely. Yummy treats, and super friendly, and proficient staff. You can get a cat sticker if you buy an item, and they had samples the day we were there of the pastries (not the cats, that was a joke). The restroom is upstairs pretty steep, and there’s only one stall, so there might be a line. The restaurant is about the size of my master walk-in closet at home, so beware if your cost of phobic that you might be standing outside in the rain. But it’s worth it. Make sure you ring the bell that says free hugs, because they give really good Hugs.

The éclair I had was a bit stale, but the lemon-shaped dessert was delicious. The atmosphere felt a bit off, and the service was quite unusual. It’s an okay coffee shop, though a bit overpriced—but I suppose that’s expected for a pâtisserie-style place.

Read moreI had the Vegan English breakfast for £16. It had the most realistic vegan sunny side omlette i have ever seen & tasted. Smells alot like egg but not as strong as real eggs. I have tasted better English breakfasts that cost alot less.
Found the price to be alot and would prefer 3 times the beans & tomato ketchup which they didn't have. I think the suitable price for this breakfast should be no more than £12. It was beautifully presented though.
The desserts look amazing and very beautiful but heavily over priced between £8 & £13 all which is made by their staff. At most £6 id say is reasonable. So I couldn't try the desserts as my bill would have been too much. The £3 & £4 croissants were the only items ordered elsewhere due to gluten. Rest of the menu is gluten free.
The staff was friendly. The restaurant looks cute. The toilet is upstairs which is hard for those with disability. Also the acoustics is very poor so sound travels from bottom to top and I continued to hear the screaming kid down stairs. This means as there will be more people the restaurant will become very loud.
Would i come again, yes to try the more Ukrainian mains. Just today wanted to eat something I was familiar with and know I'd likely enjoy.

A great spot for pastries and coffee! So many options make it hard to choose! The chocolate eclair was good though expectedly decedent. As it was served, I found the pastry noticeably cold from the cooling display and this made it taste less fresh.

The varenyky, aubergine rolls and buckwheat were excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. I've been a couple of times now when I've happened to be in the area, and will certainly be visiting again. The decor is not my cup of tea, but I mostly go places for the food and friendly atmosphere so that doesn't matter.

A lovely bakery in Covent garden. The lady who served us was so pleasant. The pastries are a bit more expensive than you would expect but they are exquisite works of art. A doubt you'd find these cheaper in a high end non-vegan establishment.

Someone needs to teach these guys proper French pastry - Edit
Either you know how to make proper puff pastry or you don’t. I tried their croissant which turned out to be dry and stale, very disappointing. It was basically the same as in Arapina, the guys just don’t know how to make proper croissant dough. Overrated (maybe because of the pink/flower/Barbie vibes which attracts tourists and instagrammers, I don’t know and I don’t care). I don’t like leaving bad reviews to fully vegan places but paying 3 pounds for a bad croissant for a French person like me is just not right.

To give them a 2 is a bit too much just based on the croissant alone. Your rating should also reflect the vibe, feel and deco of the cafe as well as the options. I feel a minimum of 3 would have been fair and to come again to try other items to give them a chance.

We got a mango passionfruit eclair and a pistachio blackberry cake. The eclair was very dry but the mango cream was delicious. The pistachio blackberry wasn’t really our thing but the blackberry was again delicious. They had a lot of interesting looking sweet things and I would try other things another time.
