No need to visit any other restaurant in Dublin!

I very nearly missed this as I was searching for vegan restaurants only on the app & this is labelled as vegetarian. Luckily a friend told me about this place so I didn’t miss it. This restaurant is now completely vegan!
Food is incredible & I’m basically going to be spending lots more money here whilst I’m in Dublin. They even do soft ice cream from the machine! Can’t wait to come back tomorrow & try the breakfast menu. I’m so in love with this place & doubt I’ll visit any other restaurants now

Pros: Choice of food , Such friendly & amazing staff, Vegan soft ice cream from the machine

Cons: Not the cheapest of places but worth it

Hi, just to say that it is actually still not completely vegan here. The food is vegan but dairy milk and butter are still served, and you have to clarify when ordering if you want plant based milk.

Great menu

I liked that they had different options. I had breakfast and dinner the same day here. For breakfast, I had scrambled tofu toast, which was just amazing, and banana bread which was good but not so great. For dinner, I had potato cake and some salad. It wasn't bad but didn't impress me. A little bland. I also had a chocolate cake, which was sooo yummy! I would recommend this place nevertheless . The place itself is very nice

Tasty Vegan Meal

There were 4 main dishes to choose from at the counter where your food is served- put on a tray and you carry it upstairs. The server recommended the potato cake with beet topping. It was good - not amazing. And you could pick 2 of the six salad options. No tofu or tempeh offered. I also had the soft serve vanilla ice cream with a little chocolate sauce drizzled on top which was pretty disappointing. The half pint of beer was good!

Quick and casual, not “fast food”

Great casual meal for an overwhelmed tourist. I had the shepherds pie with sweet potato soup and a piece of spelt bread, my partner had quiche and potato salad. All of it was delicious- I’ll happily return on a future visit!

Cornucopia: Dublin’s Canteen-Style Haven for Vegan Delights

If you're searching for a fantastic plant-based dining experience in Dublin, Cornucopia is the place to be. Though Happy Cow labels it as vegetarian, everything on offer was vegan, with the exception of dairy milk as an option for hot drinks.

The setup is canteen-style, where you order at the counter and are greeted with a variety of incredibly appetizing dishes. We tried the shepherd’s pie and seitan alla pizzaiola, and both were bursting with flavor. The portion sizes were generous—we could barely make a dent in our fourth salad! But no worries, because they offer takeaway boxes, making it easy to bring leftovers home.

For anyone in Dublin looking for a satisfying, wholesome meal, Cornucopia is a 10/10 recommendation!

LOVE, every day something new and delicious

This restaurant is very casual, get served at the counter. Their Main Entree deal is great with larger services and always a lovely option of sides. In my four days in Dublin I visited twice

Bester Dirty Chai in Town!

Pros: Breites Angebot, Sehr lecker, Tolle Inneneinrichtung

Cons: 3 Etagen und überall war es kalt. 🫣😅, Etwas hochpreisiger

Great fresh food

Caveat from October 2024: be careful as the sign now says that their food is now fully vegan, but they still serve dairy milk and butter. I was surprised and disappointed to be asked if I wanted 'regular milk' with my hot chocolate.

Updated review March 2025:
I had added this to my list to try on happy cow based on the glowing reviews, but additionally got 3 real life recommendations which hardly ever happens so I knew I had to come here. I now come here fairly regularly! I enjoy eating fresh tasty vegan food here in this meat free and mostly vegan (still disappointingly serves dairy milk and butter) restaurant - although with regular visits I've noticed that flavours can be hit and miss.
At the end of the day though, major props for offering such a varied vegan menu - it shows what can be done! Mains I've tried include tofu massaman, enchilada, potato cake, lasagne, stroganoff, spaghetti Bolognese, spanakopita, and shepherds pie. Desserts include pumpkin pie, banoffee pie, mince pie, apple caramel cake, strawberry cheesecake, and Biscoff cheesecake. Drinks include dirty chai, black tea, hot chocolate, iced Americano, Irish coffee, mulled wine, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
It's very popular especially at peak times but there's 3 floors of seating (however, sometimes top floor is closed off) so you shouldn't be too stuck for a table, depending on the size of your group. One day I came here with a group on 5 on a Saturday at 4pm and we were not able to find a table and had to leave which was very disappointing.
The main downside is that you have to carry your own (heavy) tray of food and climb the narrow steep stairs as you search for a table, which is tricky, especially if others are coming downstairs against you.
The period detail of the building and decor is lovely though, especially on the second floor.
Sometimes staff can be friendly and helpful and other times very taciturn.

Pros: All vegan food, Fresh tasty food , Lovely period building

Not as good as we remember

Food is excellent, hospitality was an F, and desserts didn’t hit like we wanted them to. I would go back there for dinner any day of the week when we’re in town, but the staff experience we had was such a turn off, I didn’t wanna go back even though it was on our schedule to have dinner again. Now that it’s a trap is there there’s no reason to have dessert here anymore.

Pros: Meal selection , Flavors

Cons: Staff was disingenuous and rude, Dessert wasn’t as good as other choices

Home food

The dishes were delicious.

I got stroganoff, which came with seitan, portobello mushrooms, rice, etc. I got a parsnip soup which was absolutely delicious.

I was looking for something good for my body and found it here.

The place gets packed, and is a bit noisy. You have to queue at first to get to the counter to choose your menu. There are three floors.

Pros: variety, healthy

Cons: not cheap, noisy

Perfect cake!

The cafe takes place over three levels and has an overall cozy chill vibe where you can stay for a looong while :). I tried the brownie which was great and the biscoff cheesecake which was unbelievably good, will definitely come back and recommend!! They seem to also serve savoury dishes, salads and snacks. Unfortunately they were out of scones but their cake selection was still satisfying. It's definitely on the higher end, paid over 6€ per cake slice...

Pros: Delicious cake!!, Comfy place, Lots of seating options, nice location

Cons: Rather expensive , Also serve cow milk/butter

We went after many suggestions.
There are a lots of vegan options.
We took scrambled tofu but really no taste at all.
Maybe it was just a bad day.
