The best cheesecake in Paris! - Edit
Warm, convivial atmosphere + the friendliest staff you'll meet in any Paris eatery! I've been on a quest to find flavorful, nourishing + truly filling options, and the menu offerings here offer local + organic ingredients; palate-pleasing texture + flavor; and hardy dishes that satiate a robust appetite. The Buddha Bowl is a zesty option filled with nutrient-dense ingredients + served with chili; the toast is topped with seasonal produce including avocados or hummus {the menu changes, so expect new + creative combos from the chef}. Baked daily, the beautiful + moist desserts include banana bread, carrot cake, marble cake, and my personal favorite, the melt-in-your-mouth passion fruit, mango + cocoa cheesecake. I've been on a cheesecake odyssey, and I have finally found the best cheesecake in Paris! Their cheesecake is light + creamy, and a true indulgence. This is the place to come to sate one's sweet tooth. All menu offerings are gluten free! A cozy + sun-drenched space with a lending library + lots of happy plants, near the Bastille; perfect for lounging, lunching or working.

One of my favorite cafés in Paris! - Edit
This café is one of my favorites in Paris. Justine & Fanny are the kindest souls, and they have created a wonderful neighborhood café where I came back to time and time again for the seasonal weekly menu. There is always a buddha bowl, tartine, and fresh juice of the week and they are always filling and delicious. But I especially love their desserts, which are some of the best I ever tried. I saw one comment on here about the dessert being too sweet, but in fact, for me the balance was perfect. It is clear that in fact the chef is conscious about not making it too sweet but instead more healthful. The carrot cake is perfectly moist, with delicious frosting and that perfect nutty flavor. The brownie is honestly the BEST I ever tried. The interior is so fudge-like that I crave one right now just writing this. It's perfect to be shared, as it is quite rich. I love the cheesecakes too--the right balance between sort and firm. Nearly everything is local and prepared with great care. Above all, the atmosphere is so pleasant--it is always filled with people at lunch, but in quiet hours it's the perfect place to sit and enjoy a matcha or golden turmeric latte and watch the Parisian world go by. Recommend highly ! I miss it so much now that I am gone from Paris.

Super nice staff - Edit
This was the first place we came after arriving in Paris. After a morning of stress and running around this was a nice haven to just sit and enjoy coffee and free wifi. I got some banana bread which was a bit dry and my husband didn't get anything since the menu was small and he is picky! The staff was super helpful and nice to us despite us being tourists. She even made fun of the stereotype of Parisienne elitism! It looked like they had some yummy Buddha bowls but they don't serve them in the morning.

We had lunch on a Saturday. Super nice staff they found us a table quickly. Buddha bowl was good, cake options were nice, special mention for the coconut pana cotta - must try! Macha tea is very good as well. Thank you!

Great spot for vegan cakes! - Edit
I went there today and tried the brownie and carrot cake. The brownie was really fudgey and dense, something to save your appetite for! It was very sweet and tasted really strongly of chocolate. The carrot cake was delicious, soft and fluffy with just the right amount of spices. The icing tasted like vanilla yogurt and added a tangy flavor to the cake.

I wish I loved it! - Edit
I wished I loved it because the staff is friendly and nice, the atmosphere is quite pleasant; and it's located within a walking distance from home.
Read moreUnfortunately, I did not enjoy the food nor the cakes.
The buddha bowl I had was too bland, and the cakes were too sweet, especially the brownie (it had a nice texture but the sugariness just killed it for me).
It seems that other people love the food, so perhaps it's just not for me. Too bad.
Pros: friendly staff, location, good value
Cons: not to my taste

Ma nouvelle cantine ! - Edit

Best coffee shop in town ! - Edit
Freshly opened in the new Veggie Town, Comptoir Veggie definitely is the coffee shop to go when in Paris! The food is very tasty, and the young girls staff very welcoming. The cakes are to die for - got a big crush on their Carrot cake !! They offer many Gluten Free options, hot drinks, high quality coffee from Café Lomi, and the menu is smartly being updated every week. The restaurant has been decorated with taste, it feels so cosy to stay in. Plus they provide the wifi. I definitely recommend this place, top on my list !
