No vegan options - Edit
I went a few days ago to eat granita e brioche. I arrived at 9 and they said the brioche was "not ready yet", so I said I could wait but they said like "nooo it will be ready like in 1 or 2 hours!". It seemed weird, but I stayed anyway and I had only granita, in which I found a pistachio shell that almost broke my tooth.
Read moreAgain, this morning at 9 I called to ask if they had vegan brioche, and they said "no, today we are not gonna make them". So twice in less than a week, they don't have them with an excuse. I think they just advertise them to attract customers. Don't bother going there.
Edit: I called again yesterday and, again, they said that for that day they were not making vegan brioche.

The brioche is gluten free, not vegan, although they said it was until we double checked.

The only thing that is vegan is a cone and a few fruit sorbets and even then, I’m not sure if what I had was actually vegan, although I specified before ordering anything that we are vegan.
Much better options elsewhere.

I hate doing bad reviews but I feel like it’s best to avoid if you’re vegan and don’t speak Italian because it was super hard to figure out what was vegan, maybe I should of learnt more Italian before I went to Sicily haha

They have great vegan pistachio and hazelnut gelato. Pistachio is a really typical flavour in Catania and this is one one the few "gelaterie" which has the vegan option, and the quality is awesome.

Cute cafe in the middle of a Piaza. Their vegan ice cream is very tasty and creamy, but it was not completely clear to me which flavors were vegan. Luckily the staff was helpful and could tell me! The next morning I went for a (still warm!) vegan croissant and a soy cappuccino, which was the perfect Italian breakfast😄
