Seperate vegan menu with tons of options - Edit
At arrival we were asked if there was anyone with allergies or dietary requirements. I was the only vegan in the company and got a seperate vegan menu. All the food looked delicious and I had a great bento box. Price quality is good!

Tasty food at Cocomee. I had dim sum as a starter and laksa curry as main. Could really recommend this place which has a seperate vegan menu.

A really great addition to Folkestone's restaurant scene, Cocomee has loads of choices for vegans and has clearly put a lot of thought into their vegan menu. As a big group of mostly vegans and vegetarians we were able to all get a main dish and share some sides. I had the gado gado bowl which was delicious, and the sides of pak choi, edamame, tempura vegetables and ginger sesame slaw were all really tasty additions. The dim sum starter had a lovely smoked garlic taste while the gado gado was fresh and filling with a sweet, nutty peanut sauce.
Read moreThe interior is really smart and relaxed, it's a great venue for a celebratory meal with friends or family, or for a romantic meal. It's just a few minutes from the Leas Cliff Hall so it's also perfect for a pre-show meal.
Service was good and friendly, in fact they gave us a free round of drinks to apologise for a delay with our food (which we hadn't even noticed as we'd been talking so much) so I can't fault them at all.

Have returned a couple of times since my first visit. Once for a lunchtime meal where I tried the katsu bento box, and an evening meal where I had katsu curry, which was tasty and less oily than the Wagamama version. I also had a shiitake bao bun which was delicious (I'm not usually a big mushroom fan but I will make an exception for this!) and the scallion noodles which were really simple but so nice. Staff were as always very friendly and helpful.

Maybe it was because I ate from the lunchtime menu rather than the vegan menu, but I ordered 3 vegan mains and they were ok. Nothing special. But each main was only £6.90 so maybe you really do get what you pay for.
Read moreThe Gado, Gado Tofu Salad was very nice and special. The peanut spicy sauce was exquisite. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the tofu curry and noodles.
So three stars for the salad dish and the incredible staff. Very helpful, attentive and friendly. Made the visit worthwhile. Maybe I’ll try another visit and order off the standard vegan menu and get some chef recommendations.
