Great buffet and lovely staff - Edit
We had the vegan buffet which was excellent. Many of the dishes were being cooked right in front of the buffet and it was interesting to see so many variations in serving tofu. My favourite was the seaweed rolls and tofu and noodle meatballs. The staff were super friendly. The owner does a lot in the community and sent us off with a Banh Mi for our Amtrak trip. We had the spicy tofu which was excellent. Prices were very reasonable.

Mixed Review - Edit
This vegan Vietnamese spot has a nice-looking menu with tempting options like bánh mì and salad rolls. The buffet includes plenty of tofu choices, but at $25 for lunch, it feels overpriced, even for all-you-can-eat. The pay-by-weight option at $12 might be a better deal. The food was flavorful but very fatty and salty.
Read moreIt’s worth noting that this place gets very mixed reviews, and that’s probably because it has a bit of a nostalgic feel—like the old-school all-you-can-eat American-Chinese buffets. If you loved that style of eating, before going vegan, you’ll probably enjoy it here. But if you didn’t like it before, you won’t like it now. Best to appreciate it for what it is, or order off the menu. Friendly staff, though the location’s a little rough around the edges.

Bánh Mì Perfection 🥖 - Edit
We stopped by ChuMinh Tofu and Veggie Deli before our flight and were so glad we did! The food was fresh and flavorful, but the highlight was definitely the bánh mì sandwich — so good that we ended up taking three more to go! Perfect spot for a quick, hearty vegan meal in Seattle.

Great food - Edit
I have never been to Vietnam but the buffet style reminded me so much of vegan buffets in Taiwan, which I loved. I thought the food was great. I want to try their banh mi next time. It is expensive but AFAIK the only vegan place in the ID so that’s something special! And I appreciated their immigrant rights signage. 🥰
Read moreBuffets always feel kind of unsanitary to me TBH (like by definition), but it didn’t feel any more unsanitary than any other buffet… the food safety rating is “good” as of now (10/2025). It seemed clean to me.
It’s true that there are many people hanging around outside the parking lot, but the people complaining about that are not grasping total liberation IMO. It has to include humans. No one should be unhoused but as long as people are, we shouldn’t avert our eyes.

Awful - Edit
The staff was nice but the food at the buffet was barely warm and most dishes weren’t good. The buffet looked like it was in the kitchen area with someone cooking at a wok right in front of the buffet. It wasn’t very clean either. Sadly, it might be one of the worst restaurants that we’ve been to. There was also a large group of people using drugs on the sidewalk outside of the parking lot.

Great staff, but not much more. - Edit
The staff was very nice and welcoming, but other than that, it's hard for me to say that I recommend the place.
Read moreThe area outside around the restaurant feels very dodgy and dirty - which has already deterred me from returning to the place.
The food itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptionally good either.
Overall, an okay place, in the absence of other alternatives.
Pros: Great and welcoming staff., Reasonable prices.
Cons: The food is no more than okay., The area is shady and dirty.

Got the vermicelli salad to go. Comes with an egg roll, and two types of vegan protein (don't remember what they're called), and vegan fish sauce. Portion is large, could feed two people. Very delicious.

Unkempt, sketchy, felt unsafe to eat - Edit
The person at the counter was polite and answered all our questions, and the food overall tasted good. However, seeing the “ok” health department rating (second from worst rating) plus the condition of the space itself made us feel uneasy to finish our meal (we did takeaway because it didn’t seem like a place we wanted to sit and eat, and my son told us later about the rating.

The buffet was in this side room, completely open, almost seemed like a kitchen area. I only saw one employee.
There were food peelings on the floor, and the interior needs a major overhaul.

It was okay - Edit
My husband and I were so excited to try this place, but we were kind of disappointed overall. We both got the buffet . There were lots of choices on the buffet, but half of them weren't labeled and a lot of them were cold. There was one item I really liked, but couldn't tell you what it was due to the lack of labels. The food that was warm was pretty good. The atmosphere is not great it is like a storage room in the dining area. We were glad we tried it, but we wouldn't go back.

My favorite item there has to be the “roasted pork” (taro & tofu skin) banh mi. Though, everything there is amazing.

Excellent bahn mi - Edit
We’ve tried the buffet here as well as a few of the bahn mi. I personally liked the buffet, but nobody else I was with was impressed. 😅 The bahn mi, however, are unequivocally delicious. We’ve tried the spicy tofu, bbq duck and bbq pork and they’re all so good. We love the flavor and texture of tofu skin in the bbq duck, but the spicy tofu might be our favorite. We can’t wait to try more—there are 10 different kinds!

Disappointing now - Edit
I'd been to ChuMinh about 5 years ago and really liked it. Food selection was good and the price was really reasonable. Neighborhood wasn't great and the inside conditions weren't great, but for the price, it worked. Now, the prices have increased so much I was shocked. I almost left without getting food even after driving far out of my way to get there. Neighborhood is still bad and inside condition is still not great, but their prices are as if they're in a fancy location in Bellevue. Food is good but I'll never go back with their current prices. Disappointing! Could be a good place.
