Chubby Bunny has warm friendly service and even warmer food. The croissant sandwich and the Boss Bunny were phenomenal. We opted into potato mittens as well, and I think if it wasn’t so cold, we would have stayed to eat outside and had more 🤣

Updated Review (07/2025): Returned nearly 3 years later and was excited to get back to Chubby Bunny. We did not enjoy it as much as we did a few years back, to be honest. Food was totally fine but we seemed to enjoy it more the first time. In a cute food truck park different from where it was last time. This time we had the boss bunny, Benny, and croissan’wich. We also ordered a hash brown and 2 orange juices. Guy at the window was nice.
Read moreOriginal Review (08/2022): We ordered a Chubby Benny, a Benny, and a Boss Bunny, as well as an order of French toast sticks and 2 chocolate milks. I’ve never had Benedict before but I really enjoyed the Benny. The Boss Bunny was so stuffed and really good as well! The French toast sticks were fun and delicious and having the chocolate milk option was great. I wanted to try the Croissanwich but there was a “sold out” sticker over it. While we were eating someone else walked over to order and the chef peeled off the sold out sticker and said it was a mistake. I would have ordered it had I known, but on the plus side I tried the Benny which I really liked and wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Awesome spot and really delicious! Highly recommend.

Nothing beats Chubby Bunny on a Saturday morning - Edit
Like the title says - we got the Boss Bunny and the Benny (add a potato mitten). I took my omni mom here and she loved it and couldn't stop talking about how good it was for the rest of the day. It just hits the spot every. single. time. I hope this place never goes away😄

I have used Happycow for years, but have only just made an account to leave this review. I just had the Benny sandwich. The quality and flavor blew my mind. The sausage had the perfect blend of herbs, the hollandaise sauce was tangy and creamy, and the avocado was sliced so perfectly it didn't spill out. I can't wait to come back for more!

We were visiting Portland on a cold and rainy day and I wanted to try somewhere new to me. Decent amount of options. I got the Benny with bacon.. wish the bacon was crispier but still a solid breakfast sandwich. Had to go to a nearby cafe to eat because it was too cold at the pod.

Breakfast hoagie for the win - Edit
Vegan breakfast sandwiches are few and far between where we live, so a must on my list of Portland food was Chubby Bunny. They did not disappoint. The breakfast hoagie was hands down the best vegan breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten. The slightly spicy mayo was the perfect finishing touch. My partner had the Abagel’s salami sandwich on a gluten free bun instead of a bagel (he has mild gluten issues and regular buns/bagels are just too much wheat). The gluten free bun was excellent. The salami was also great, although after having a bite of the hoagie he also pronounced the hoagie as the best vegan breakfast sandwich he’s ever had.

Secret’s out, the bunny is vegan! - Edit
I ordered their Boss Bunny, a more “meaty” variety compared to their other breakfast sandwich. It was pretty good, but the vegan bacon seems to be undercooked. The sandwich was a bit expensive considering its size. The cart only serve breakfasts. At least they stay open a couple of hours after noon...

I tried two of their breakfast sandwiches and they both were an odd blend of bland and super greasy. The pretzel bun was okay but I don’t know what was up with the rest. If I so happen to give them a try again and like it, I’m happy to update the review.

All vegan breakfast sandwiches sounds great to me, I make them at home all the time. So I wanted to try Chubby Bunny. It was okay. The flavors of both the Steak & Eggs and the Croissant-wich were pretty good but neither were particularly special.
Read moreThe Croissant-wich looked like someone threw it against a wall and hastily reassembled it. Tasted fine. The Steak & Eggs was plain but didn't seem distressed. The taste was better than the Croissant-wich.
I would have been severely disappointed if I got one sandwich with no side for the price and still hungry (because I'm a chubby vegan bunny animal). Thankfully, I got two but it made for an expensive to-go lunch.

Fantastic Food - Edit
Everyone I ate with loved what they got! I had the Croissan’wich and was impressed by the croissant! There was covered seating with a warming fire at one of the tables. Also many other food trucks plus bar next door (Bye&Bye) had additional vegan options. Chubby Bunny was the only one open when we went, otherwise we would’ve stayed and sampled more.

I got the Benny on a croissant, and my husband got the Boss Bunny. Both were so tasty and indulgent and satisfying. We ate there with our dog at picnic tables in a covered tent that are shared between the various food trucks there.

My son ordered me this for a special occasion and it was delicious! I swear it wasn’t vegan. (Although I don’t know what meat or cheese tastes like anymore😜) Highly recommend. Good luck in your 2nd location!
