This place is just lovely and the almond croissant is gonna haunt my dreams! Came for an early breakfast before a walk around the neighborhood. Can’t wait to come back.

SOOO YUMMY - Edit
I love coming here!!! I always get their feta omelette and devour it every time. All their pastries are amazing, I wish I lived closer 💔 Yes, they have a non-vegan establishment next door that is technically in the same building, and I believe it is a shared kitchen, but I’ve never had any issues. Their cafe is separate so they prepare their drinks in the vegan portion of the restaurant. I appreciate the service and care nonetheless.

Located beside a “regular” cafe with the same name. We ordered the breakfast croissant and avocado toast. Delicious! Also got an orange chocolate croissant because we need to support the team. ; )

More than just a bakery! - Edit
Quaint, friendly service, amazing French-style pastries, and delicious food. I’ve been here several times over the years.
Read moreYou order at the counter (where you can see all the delicious pastries!) and you are given a number to place on your table for your food to be brought to you. There really are so many choices (see the photos of the bakery case) but I neglected to take a photo of the drink menu.
Today, I had the feta omelette and chocolate croissant. Gorgeous presentation and perfect taste and texture!
Chaumont Vegan is a find! Don’t just go if you happen to be in the area; make it a destination.
Some complain that it is not REALLY a vegan establishment because it is attached to its non-vegan counterpart. To me, this is a plus.
The original non-vegan place used to offer some vegan options. But it seems demand was so great, they expanded to offer a fully vegan space with many more options! (I think this happened in 2021.). So, rather than put them down, I choose to celebrate them.
Thank you Chaumont for first offering some vegan choices and then bringing us even more with a dedicated space next door.

They’re not a vegan establishment, non vegan place that has split up their menu into two buildings - Edit
They sell non vegan pastries and then next door they have the vegan pastries. So this is a loophole they’ve created calling themselves a totally vegan place, which is NOT true. If a restaurant sold dairy, meat and eggs but then had a separate vegan menu they would not be labeled as a vegan restaurant. It’s shady to label this place as vegan

Best croissants in LA - Edit
Fully vegan version next door to non vegan bakery and cafe. Excellent pastries and lots of options. Hard to find parking . (I don’t think this should count as a vegan restaurant, since it’s connected to its non vegan cafe next door, so only giving it 4 stars instead of 5)

The variety of croissants are so flaky and would probably fool anyone who isn’t vegan and the other food options are also delicious.

Not really a vegan business, very nice nonetheless - Edit
I don't think this should be listed as a vegan business, since the vegan section is just a part of a larger non-vegan bakery and business.
Read moreWith that out of the way, the pastries are fantastic! Loved the pain suisse and the earl grey croissant in particular. The brunch was more of a miss for me but I'd like to try more from the menu.
Pros: Excellent pastries, They aren't stingy with the cream fillings!
Cons: Disappointing brunch, Not really a vegan business, Slow service

It’s a delight. Go for it. The Hammond cheese croissant was scrumptious. They are brining in artisan cheese. Worth it.

Mixed feelings - Edit
They have many options, but also many reasons for a lower score. The pastries were kind of hard/stale (another review mentioned they heated them up for them, so maybe you have to ask?)
Read moreThe setting is also pretty cramped and loud. Overall everything was good enough, but I was disappointed after going out of my way and paying $15 parking to visit an overrated cafe.

Bakery heaven - Edit
Chaumont Vegan has exactly what I look for in a good bakery. A well stocked, exciting selection of sweet treats with a couple of savory options and a small breakfast menu. The rosewater cream stuffed croissant was so good. And the pumpkin cream cheese roll was yummy, too. I would eat here every day if I could
Read moreService is really prompt and friendly. There's a lot of seating indoors and a little bit outside. I hope some day that every major city can have a vegan cafe/bakery like this one!

I stopped by Chaumont twice during my 1-week stay in LA and this place has by far the best pumpkin spice latte I’ve ever had. We had the egg croissant, regular croissant, chocolate orange croissant, almond chocolate croissant, and the pan au chocolat

Everything we tasted was delicious. We had brunch and grabbed a few pastries to go. The omelette and the shakshuka were excellent. I most enjoyed the cream cheese and guava pastry: the tropical flavors were incredible.

Beautiful - Edit
Such beautiful pastries! We had the rose and earl gray croissants along with a savoury scroll that had olives, jalapenos and zataar which was my favourite! Also tried the shakshuka but I didn't like the texture of the egg white (the yoke was impressive). When we got back to our hotel we realised they had thrown in a choc orange croissant for free, so kind 😇

This was our first stop after arriving into Los Angeles and freshening up at our hotel! It didn’t disappoint! We had chocolate custard, rosewater, apricot and a jalapeño and olive croissant/pastry. Yes we shared them! The coffee was awesome and the iced chocolate was lovely albeit a little sweet.

I'm French, so I get really annoying about pastries. Chaumont surprised me! As a vegan, I missed the pain suisse and the chocolate croissants... until now! Chaumont's pastries are to die for. But... some tips:
