Vegan bakery cafe opened Apr 2021 by Chaumont Cafe next door and offering a similar Viennoiserie selection of croissants, cinnamon rolls, danishes, and tarts but in all vegan versions. Serves coffee and tea as well as a couple of savory options like avocado toast. Open Mon-Sat 6:30am-3:00pm, Sun 7:30am-3:00pm.

Croissants yes, Cake no - Edit
We got 2 regular croissants, the zaatar croissant and a piece of their chocolate cake. The zaatar croissant has olives which gives you a taste reminiscent of pizza. The regular croissant is nice and flakey, not too greasy. The tastes like a healthier flakier version of Pillsbury crescent rolls (which are actually vegan!). The chocolate cake, though beautiful, was disappointing. The cake itself is dry, not fluffy despite appearances, and overall has a very one dimensional taste which is a very mild chocolate, not a great one at that.
Read moreI’m glad we tried Chaumont Vegan and am excited that places like Chaumont would even think to have a vegan branch. I hope other places follow its example. I don’t think I’ll necessarily be back, maybe for the croissants if I’m in the area, but I’m not going to be tempted by their cakes anymore.

Best vegan croissant ever! - Edit
I walked for an hour each way to try this place today and it was well worth it. They have the best croissant I’ve ever eaten (vegan or dairy). Flaky outside, soft inside and so buttery...it’s unreal. They have a huge selection of other pastries both sweet and savory. Prices are reasonable and a great variety.

Fabulous all vegan pastries with unbelievable flavor and artistry. I ordered strawberry, chocolate orange and almond croissants. OMG they were all mind blowing! So flaky and full of fillings. I’m still thinking about them. Need to go back asap to try the cakes and savory pastries.

Vegan croissants!!! They had such a wide selection of pastries it was hard to choose. The employees were so nice and told us what everything was. We were so happy with everything we ordered, and amazed it was all vegan. Not only did the pastries taste great, they were beautiful!

Amazing vegan pastries - Edit
The pastries are very tasty and authentic. They’re crispy and flaky on the outside and chewy on the inside. I got the rose croissant, almond croissant, apricot vanilla twist, and pain swisse. I’d say my favorite was the almond croissant. Only complaint I have is that the filling in the rose croissant tasted too acidic, kind of like spoiled yogurt.

Chaumont has a large and delicious selection of vegan pastries and coffee in a bright location. The croissant in particular was absolutely perfect: light and airy on the inside and crisp on the outside.

Great location in the heart of Beverly Hills. Nice interior and patio. The pastries taste like in France. Real French baker. We took a whole bocks of pastries and fell in love with all of them. Try matcha croissant, it has A LOT OF cream inside, it was a surprise. Anything you’ll try, will taste amazing. Great experience so far.

So many different choices! They are very new, so still getting some things sorted. Very friendly :). Right next to the non-vegan Chaumont I believe. But it’s its own separate establishment, completely vegan. Huge varied selection! They have a great breakfast sandwich with flaky croissant, which tastes very European. Most of the selections are pastries though. The croissants are incredible—chocolate, plain, zaatar, almond. Also got the chocolate marshmallow cookie as a freebie and it was the best I’ve ever had. I have to say that I’m very happy to have a pastry establishment that’s not just cheesecakes, cupcakes and cookies—as someone who didn’t grow up in the States I’ve definitely been looking for a similar of bakery. Happy to see more vegan croissants elsewhere in LA, but these are the best vegan ones I’ve had in the States and there are many different flavors, including savory. They have a seating area for both bakeries outside. I’ll definitely be back. :)

Was so excited to see this place on happycow. Here's my Chaumont Vegan review. Finally had a chance to tried the goods this week. Was in the neighborhood, toward the end of the day, but was still able to pick up a few pastries. The cinnamon swirl one was delightful. Plain croissant was all right. The savory olive one tasted pizza-like at first but then it just got weird (did not like). Would return for more of the sweet options.
