A nice, expensive vegan café - Edit
We ordered two smoothies (8 pounds each); they were tasty, but in terms of size and flavor, they weren’t worth 8 pounds. My raspberry breakfast smoothie tasted only of oat milk, and the berry go round was still half-frozen. The lemon and the chocolate cake were delicious, but even those weren’t worth the price.

Chapter One is such a gem! Everything on the menu is vegan, and honestly, everything we tried was incredible. We had the sourdough with scrambled tofu and bacon, the chicken mayonnaise sandwich, and both the Biscoff and Victoria sponge cakes. Everything was so delicious! 🤤💚 We loved it so much and will definitely be back many, many times!

Had a super lunch here, good choice of sandwiches. I had the mozzarella almond pesto and sundried panini which was delicious. Also had the almond and coconut cake which was lovely and moist. Would certainly recommend!

Had a brie and turkey and cranberry sauce festive toastie when I was up around New Years and it was truly delicious, such a big portion and really flavourful. The cafe was very comfortable and I also took some pastries with me for my train back which were delicious!

I had the full english breakfast, and another time a soup & sandwich combo. I enjoyed all of the dishes, but honestly not every part of the english breakfast was truly exceptional (for example I think I've actually had better tofu scramble at home - it needs more kala namak, guys!). The sandwich was pretty great tho!

Vegan café with amazingly good breakfast and pastry. I kept coming back during my time in Edinburgh and tried the French toast, the tofu scramble on sourdough toast and various pastries like croissants. They also have a large selection of vegan sandwiches.

A beautifully decorated cafe in Edinburgh. We came spontaneously for breakfast and got a table without any trouble. The typical British breakfast was delicious. We also bought sandwiches to take away, which are perfect for later.
