Yuckalaka - Edit

I was intrigued by chakalaka as I'd never been to a south African restaurant before and I love a good curry. The menu is pretty meat-central which I expected, but I was happy have a vegan option of bunny chow. Unfortunately the food just tasted bad. The curry was bland and bitter- thankfully it was 50% off for January but even then it wasn't worth it. I have a pretty broad palate and enjoy just about any cuisine this was one of the rare restaurant experiences I've had where the food was actively unpleasant. Service was good at least.

first time trying bunny chow - Edit

so i wasn’t sure what to expect but i was a little disappointed, but maybe thats how it is! the curry was decent but i think i would get it with rice next time. the sweet chilli bites were really tasty though.
