Love that they have a whole menu for vegans. Their enchiladas are solid, and the prices fair. Casa Las Katarinas is a good option if you need to find a spot that’ll work for vegans & carnists (i.e. awkward family dinners).

Good Find in Grass Valley - Edit
They have a decent selection of vegan items and the food was pretty good. Staff was super friendly and accomidating to a no onion request. The non-vegans in the group enjoyed it too. Prices were fair.

I used to live local and this has always been one of my go to restaurants, even before I was plant based. There is a separate menu of vegan options and the food does not disappoint! My favorites are the tamales and flautas. The service is great! Everyone is friendly and if they aren’t sure of something they don’t hesitate to ask. I knew the original owner and the food is legit! She even still pops in to help out sometimes.😄

Awesome Sauce at Casa Las Katarinas - Edit
One time they did have vegan cheese when I put in an order. If you order over the phone it is easier to customize your order and find out about additional vegan options. I really love the cactus Verde sauce they use for the vegan enchiladas. Would be great if I could add spinach or something to them so they were just beans but they are still super tasty, especially when craving some authentic Mexican. Love this place !

I am from the Bay Area and I ALWAYS come here. The service is amazing and the food is incredible. The vegan taco salad is amazing and so is the rice!

Excellent delicious vegan options! - Edit
I have eaten here many times and have not been disappointed. They offer a separate vegan menu with several delicious options. Their “Enchiladas Veganas” is to die for! The only thing that would make this restaurant better is if the went 100% vegan. This is definitely my “go to” Mexican restaurant.

I appreciate this restaurant offering a fairly extensive vegan menu, however, the food was terrible. I really wanted to like this place, the service was amazing! I ordered the mineras vegan as and it tasted like the worst version of canned beans and tomato (not even enchilada) sauce in the saddest tortillas I’ve ever seen. The side of rice and beans were mediocre at best. The margarita not drinkable (tasted like sweetened margarita mix). The salsa and guacamole were good!

Separate vegan menu—delicious! - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu, with a large array of vegan appetizers, entrées, and desserts! I had the vegan enchilada plate, with cactus sauce on top. It was extremely tasty! The Mexican rice was the best I’ve ever had. The vegan sopapillas for dessert were scrumptious—crispy and dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar! Reasonable cost and nice restaurant ambiance with a fireplace. Service was good.
