A great spot if in Gion area! - Edit
This was a great find! I was exploring the Gion area in Kyoto and found this via the app. They have a small selection of vegan dishes to choose from such as soy ramen (with soy protein meat!) a vegetable curry and a rice dish I forgot the name of. I had the soy ramen and it was delicious. They had some matcha drinks available such as an iced latte which you could have with a milk alternative such as oat milk. They had a drink station with barley tea (pretty sure this was free?) and water which was nice. The waitress was welcoming and the environment relaxing. It was the perfect spot to recharge after a busy few hours walking.

Clean, tasty lunch - Edit
We were looking for a gluten free and vegetarian lunch and this place delivered that in a sunny, peaceful setting! We had ramen, dango, and the apple pie -- all delicious and a treat. There were complimentary teas available but we ordered matchas which were very good too. Great and accommodating little spot!

Pricey and underwhelming - Edit
We had shoyu ramen and rice bowl. Cannot say that we liked any of it. It was very plain and simple, but way too salty. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice Ramen, Burger meh - Edit
The Ramen was delicious and good portion.
Read moreThe burge was a bit disappointing, because it was small and only salad and patty, no other veggies. (Had a mayonnaise inside though) There was no fries only a hand full of potato chips? (looked and tasted like just bought ones)

Great lunch spot! - Edit
Came here after watching a Kabuki performance and ordered their homemade ginger ale and soy meat bowl. It really hit the spot. The menu shows a picture of a bowl with fresh lettuce, but we got just a scoop of sautéed veggies. Wished we got the lettuce to make little wraps out of but overall still a very tasty and not heavy meal.

Vegan Shoujin cafe in the heart of Kyoto - Edit
It is a quiet cafe inside an hotel in the busy area of Gion.
Read moreThe service is good and quick, food is really tasty and I found the portions bigger than other vegan meals in Japan. I also really appreciate the choice of making everything in the menu oriental vegan(no five pungente like onion and garlic).
Definitely a place I would like to visit again!

High-quality, tasty ingredients at this vegan cafe. We enjoyed the curry which is full of nutritious ingredients. It is conveniently located near a number of shrines and temples. Staff is also lovely. They also have Wi-Fi, are English-speaking, and accept credit card payments!

Not 100% satisfied - Edit
We only tried savory food, so maybe the sweets are amazing, but for us, it was not worth the price :,( I wish they had served normal fried potatoes rather than potato chips with the hamburger, which was also very simple and a little dry. The ramen was not bad but again, very simple, and the quantity not enough 😥 The staff of the hotel reception was very friendly 😄 (the café is located in a hotel).

Blink and you'll miss this lovely little place (we did) attached to a contemporary looking hotel. Modern and light inside, welcome air conditioning and we were served by a really nice lady. Food was great, particularly the ramen! Beer was nice and frosty too!

Decent - Edit
Very calm when I visited, nice to escape the crowds in Kyoto. However, I was not too impressed by the burger I ordered. It was very salty and the consistency was kind of mushy.
