No vegan curry

Looks like they removed the vegan curry from the menu or its just seasonal. Was not an option when we were there in May and no other dishes could be made vegan.

Vegan Curry

Had one option which was the bean and rice curry. Was really nice. Had it with the local apple juice. (Dont get the soup as it is chicken based)

What a surprise! A Cheap and Tasty Vegan Option in Hirosaki Castle Park

I came across this cafe by chance when I was visiting the castle. I saw the sign in front of the cafe advertising this curry and thought "that looks like it might be vegan!" so I decided to ask the staff and it turns out it is! Order without soup (it is chicken broth soup).

I didn't ask about all of the other menu items, but the tofu ice cream has milk in it unfortunately. I might go again and ask about their other items. English on the menu as well!

The curry itself was a bit spicy and I thought it was rather good. It's nice if you get hungry and don't have meal plans elsewhere because it's cheap and quick! So nice to have an option inside the park.

Pros: cheap, tastes good, quick

Cons: comes with chicken broth soup, so order without, no vegan label
