So many options - Edit
We were in Skye for a long weekend and we ate here everyday. The food is delicious, portions are generous and the staff are lovely. The menu changes daily and there are always a couple vegan options.

Limited options but good - Edit
The menu changes often and nothing was marked vegan but the waitress checked with the kitchen and a burrito and burger could be done vegan. The burrito was nice and the burger was really good. It’s a nice place to sit with good views but there can be a queue at lunch time

Lovely cafe and friendly stuff - Edit
We arrived here not knowing whether there will be vegan options (my partner isn’t vegan).
Read moreThe place was clean and the stuff really polite. The offered me beans on toast with vegan butter which was really tasty.
There might not always be vegan options but the stuff is more than happy to help. They knew exactly what ingredients were and weren’t vegan.
I would highly recommend this place to vegetarians/ vegans that are happy with something simple.
I’d love to leave 5* if happy cow allowed.
Thanks
Pros: Clean 🧼 , Friendly and polite stuff , Good portion sizes
Cons: No obvious vegan options on the menu, No vegan cakes

Very lively - Edit
The café is sitting just above the harbour and benefits from a great view. There were several vegetarian options that they could make vegan, and both soups of the day were vegan too. They also have non dairy milk for your latte.

**Daily changing menu** - Edit
•they only use *vegan* mayonnaise here, so coleslaw that comes with dishes is vegan friendly.
Read moreChefs + Staff are fully aware and accomodating of what vegan is (2 or more of their staff are vegan themselves)
•there are ALWAYS at least 4 veggie options
°Always a veggie burger which 99% of the time is vegan friendly.
°always 2 soups, at least one if not both will be veggie and usually vegan
°two lunch meals are Always veggie. At least one will be good for vegan, usually both can be made vegan.
•they don't label things on the menu (for allergy reasons) so make sure to ASK! Staff can let you know what's good.
((Veggie sausages on breakfast are Quorn... not vegan. They only serve square meat sausages, no link, so if it's sausage shaped it's definitely veggie))
•only have soy milk, but if you bring y.o. oatlybarrista, they'll use it
Pros: Usually multiple vegan options, ALWAYS at least 4 veggie options

Just fine - Edit
The menu doesn't disclose if any plate is vegetarian or vegan so I had to guess the ingredients. The soup of the day was courgette with tarragon, super tasty!! I was advised that was 100% vegan but I'm not sure as I asked if other plates could be veganised and I still got colslaw as a side (not vegan). I ordered veggie fajitas without cheese and sour cream but was a bit dissapointed as there wasn't any tortilla or wrap, simply a jackfruit stew with tomatoes and peppers. I think they did put extra slices of peppers on the side to compensate for the cheese/sour cream. If you are desesperate for food I would go, otherwise not the best place.

Cons: Lack of knowledge about veganism, Not real vegan options, only vegetarian dishes that can be "veganised"

Vice vibe, few vegan options - Edit
Lovely place, staff were amazing but they need more vegan options. All the vegetarian meals seemed to be loaded with cheese so could be made vegan. I built my own vegan brekkie which was nice enough but nothing to rave about.

Just ok - Edit
Some vegan options. A nice place, nothing more. If your'e in Portree and can't cook for yourself, it's worth to stop there. There's an option to take a "small breakfast" where you can take a number of items from the regular breakfast and take vegan sausages. Also ate a salad which was good. I remember they also had a vegan burger. No vegan cakes.

We had the French toast as vegan option with a mushroom filling. It was delicious. However the menu had no vegan options marked. The staff was very friendly and showed us vegan alternatives we could have :-)

Leuke atmosfeer.

Amazing flavor - Edit
Ordered the hummus and salad with stuffed pepper special. They omitted the feta and replaced with a vegan feta. They said their burger buns are not vegan, so I didn't order the veggie burger. Im glad I didn't because my salad was amazing and the hummus was also great. They gave more food than I could eat!

Decent option in a not very vegan-friendly place - Edit
The staff are knowledgeable about veganism and willing to veganise many vegetarian options on the menu, although this generally means just taking away the non-vegan parts or substituting hummus for cheese. It would be great if they could start labelling vegan options on their menu or make more of an effort by getting in some vegan cheese to substitute in. However, in a town with very few vegan options this is a decent place to get a bite to eat.

Cute place - Edit
Cute place with nice vegetarian options. I was vegetarian, not vegan when I went there. They may have vegan as well. Even if not, I would not hesitate to ask their friendly staff. Limited hours in winter.

Limited vegan options - Edit
We visited the cafe today and the only vegan option was the mezze plate. They had to substitute tortilla chips for the flatbread on the plate as the flatbread was not vegan. The humous and falafel were yummy, but we felt like we could get those most places. We had dinner the night before at a local pub (The Isle), and that had three vegan options on the menu.

Warm and friendly, to people and dogs. Soy milk is available for hot drinks. We got a couple of vegan breakfast, a fry up for me and a bagel with jam for the other half. Lunch/dinner menu changes daily. Had the chilli on one visit, lovely hearty stuff.

Omni cafe with one vegan choice - Edit
On the day we visited there was one vegan choice and a couple of veggie ones on the board. The vegan choice (satay veg wrap) was quite basic but nice. The spicy chips are good.

Very Average - Edit
Nice vibe, decor and friendly staff. However, The food was very average. On this day, they had a Lentil Curry Pot and it was completely tasteless and watered down. My boyfriend had about 4 mouthfuls and decided he couldn't eat anymore. I ordered the falafels, which had a good crunch, but again an average taste and I felt quite nauseous for the rest of the day. The veggie haggis was okay, but we had a spectacular one else where, so it to was a bit of a let down.

nice café - Edit
We only took a soy latte and cappuccino with soymilk here because they did not have any vegan treats but the coffee tasted very good. The surface of the table feld greasy and I did not find the staff very friendly. They told that with lunch they have vegan choices but that card was not yet on the table only the breakfast menu with a vegetarian breakfast on it.

Nice place, limited vegan options - Edit
I went there for dinner. Unfortunately, that day they only had one vegan main dish (which was a curry, so not very original since you can find an Indian restaurant nearly everywhere in the UK). They were actually very sorry about this and said they usually have more options. Anyway, the curry was good, so I left well feed and content.
