Great spot for a nice meal in Tromso

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner whilst staying Tromso. They had one vegan starter, hummus with carrot and cucumber sticks, and two vegan mains, a vegan burger and fried aubergine and tomato with vegan garlic sauce and focaccia. There were no vegan desserts.

Service was excellent and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I had the fried aubergine dish which was delicious, but the portion was quite small. There is a wine list but unfortunately it does not specify if the wines are vegan.

This is a particularly good spot if you are eating with an omnivore who wants to try local food but still offers vegan options.

Pros: High quality ingredients, Good service

Cons: No vegan desserts, Wine list not labelled with vegan wines

Too expensive for a simple dish

I ordered the fried eggplant dish and was very disappointed. The dish is very small and it costed over 30 euros. Simple eggplant (that for me was not fried, only warmed up in a pan) with tomato and a garlic sauce and some slices of bread.
Ny friends ordered non vegan dishes and were also disappointed.

They know what they are doing with paprika

Two vegan starters and two vegan mains. The houmous was delicious; plenty of garlic oil and a nice dusting of paprika. The burger was really tasty, and the chips were nice and crispy, with a generous covering of paprika.

Decent vegan burger and fries

Expensive (as with everywhere in Norway), but had a few vegan options. I had a burger and fries and it was pretty good. (Cheapest vegan option too.)
